Support failure: Ornn

So lately I've been playing Ornn as support. I'm told that he can help keep adc alive if you do it right, but I can't seem to do that. Then, my teammates start yelling at me for letting ADC die. (No, I don't think it's my fault if a walks into turret.) And if I save ADC, then I die and my teammates yell at me for dying, like wtf Please tell how to solve that problem. Thank you.

Oh and also please recommend another similar support that's cheap, I just bought a champ and now I'm poor.

If your AD Carry was dumb enough to walk into a tower, than that's no ones fault but their own. If you die saving them, then they should be grateful that the ADC lived. If they get mad at you & come out with "REPORT MY SUPPORT, HE IS FEEDER", just mute them & focus on the match. From there, just make sure that the most fed person on your team is safe & make sure they keep their lead.

I played Ornn Support a long time ago, haven't done so in while since they kept nerfing the poor guy.

Have you played Poppy Support? is basically the same concept. Bait them into walls and just slam them in there.

Learn to just ignore what your team says. Half the time theyll bash you for not supporting the way they want you to do so, when they just literally suicide into the enemy team for no reason.

Ornn is great at countering an engage and requires his team to not blow up instantly. You cant save someone already so far out of position that they die before your ult comes in.

It allows you to last hit minions occasionally and grants you and your ADC gold as well as a small heal. Then you can upgrade that item to give you more health as well as more charges to heal your ADC a bit more often. After that, you can consider items like...

To offer even more protection for your ADC. When it comes to your ADC making bad decisions, that is completely out of your control. If you want to protect your ADC better though, try to go for tanky support items that can heal/shield your allies.

Now as far as what other supports you can play, I don't know what you really consider "like Ornn". Alistar comes to mind but he doesn't have an ult like Ornn. Nautilus comes to mind. Taric comes to mind as well but he is more of a defensive support who is excellent at protecting his team.
