It'd grow old really quickly...

YES. I suggested this and it got massively downvoted.

IMO it's really fun. Even if it gets "old" it's better than ARAM, etc.

Multiple issues: First, a meta will settle. This will gradually suck the fun out of the game mode, as people will soon start playing to win rather than playing to have fun. Also, Riot will have to divert resources to URF in order for it to be balanced, since it is now permanent. Lastly, it WILL grow old. As people play the same champs all the time or simply play un-fun champs, the game will grow stale. Just like how S6 has been for a lot of people.

We've only been telling them for two years now.

They've offered about 5 different (bad) excuses. One in particular that they repeatedly used to stop disagreement was "people stopped playing it after the first week," (paraphrased) but this was obviously false for reasons I and others mentioned elsewhere.

Just wait, though, some Rito fanboy white knight will come in and repeat the same 5 damn excuses as if they're fresh news, and as if they haven't already been responded to in previous years.

They wouldn't be able to balance it consistently enough for it not to end up being the same few champs in every game.

WRONGO! Anyone here remember last year URF? People got bored of it after a week and a half or so and started complaining a lot.

URF is meant to be a way to spice up average league playing. The game modes are a way for us all to sit back and just chill. Making URF permanent would literally be counter intuitive of what it was designed for. But the want for URF and other gamemodes has gone through to Rito, they understand this. This is why they made the game mode rotation, for everyone to enjoy their favorite ones. IMO this is one of the things Riot has really done well at. (P.S. I would love for there to be combined game modes. ex. URF+OneForAll, or something dumb like that) Bard

Look at Dominion.

Now do you still think we should keep URF as a permanent mode?

No. I love urf but it has to be a special occasion, like christmas.

no, after a month or two it would get old, thats why it feels so special when it comes for two weeks

the magic would go away quite quickly...

No. Even by the second time it showed up in the featured game mode the meta was pretty much solved and everyone just banned the most broken champs and played the second most broken champs.
