How exactly can I get CDR onto Morde?

All his cooldowns are too long. If you miss 1 E, then you have lost the fight because it has like 18 second cooldown rank 5, and this ability is bugged because it doesn’t always pull targets.

I don’t build Nashor’s Tooth because it doesn’t provide any HP.

If I build Protbelt, I delay Rylai’s and Liandry’s.

I cannot take CDR rune stat because I need attack speed.

I cannot take Sorcery tree second because I need either Domination for healing or Resolve for more tankiness.

Rank 1 Mordekaiser ult cooldown is 140 seconds. Is this a joke? Rank 5 Mordekaiser Q cooldown is 4 seconds that only provides damage and no healing, meanwhile Darius Q has 5 second cooldown (no cdr) with healing.

Why do you need the attack speed shard? Are you really autoing that much as an AP champion? Most common thing I see is the adaptive force shard. You could probably swap that out for the CDR shard if you're struggling to cap.

Spirit Visage is 10%. Zhonya's is also 10%. Lich bane is also 10% (although idk how good it'd be on Morde, I can kinda see it working).

Hextech Protobelt gives you another way into a fight, and gives 10% CDR.
Zhonya's appears fairly popular, and gives 10% CDR.
Nashor's isn't as uncommon as you suggest as a 3rd or 4th item, and gives 20% CDR.
Spirit Visage gives 10% CDR.

Nashor’s is a great item but it doesn’t provide HP so that’s why I don’t want to build it. Ask Riot to remove the AP from Nashor’s and give it HP instead. It would be perfect on Morde.

Morde can afford one or two items that don't give HP, and Nashor's is good enough on him that it appears in at least a few high Challenger / Masters / Pro-level builds. I'd recommend giving it a bit more thought.

His E should be ur primary concern tbh.. its more of a if I land it, I land it. if u really wanna kill some 1 just save ur E, pull them in ur R and then go ham.. His ult is fine, his Q is broken, it extends beyond the range of its hitbox, and darius has less range, does less damage, which is why it gives him the heal, Morde also has the Isolation bonus on his Q which amps his damage, all of ur sustain comes off W.

If you miss E, i suggest just pulling out. By the time you max E, the cooldown shouldnt be too long. Unless they nerfed it, in which i suggest just getting protobelt after rylai's.[zombie-brand-clap]

It's still fairly short by the time you've maxed it. No idea if they've nerfed it since you last played him, though.

Rocketbelt -> Zhonyas once you get your Rylais, CDR+AP+Health runes (Or AP+AP+Armor), and all of Morde's damage heals you if you have Conqueror+Ravenous :)

Apples or Oranges... You either will have 40% with runes, boots and one item or you will have that sweet attack speed, resolve and other stuff. (At least early game when you have 3 items and boots)

What ? You are complaining on a champ that have no mana cost ? You can spam your spells like you want, no need to build CDR and be more busted.

Seriously, Mordekaiser is Darius but in Ap version except you can't run out of mana. Cancer when you play melee and the guy only poke you with Q. You can't trade him because of his passive...

Because of these champs, i don't play melee anymore. Why should i play melee champ and lane vs this who have no mana cost ? I prefer play Vayne or Caitlyn top and poke non stop, at least i can farm without being poked 24/24.

I respected you and your opinion here until you stated that you prefer to play vayne and Caitlyn top now. Truly awful. You are a beta. Adcs top or more toxic for toplane than champs like morde, and it's not even close

Dude, i play ranged top because i can't play melee top, it's all.

When you pick Garen and you face Vladimir, when you pick Irelia and you face Mordekaiser, when you play Riven and you play vs Quinn...

Where is the fun ? You get bullied all the laning phase because this champ are horrible. This is why we got Kayle/Vlad/Quinn/Kennen spam on top lane. Players are sick to get bullied by ranged champ they can't reach.

You want to know how i countered a stupid Kayle top ? I played Ashe ! Ashe top and i played very safe. I poked her, and i could 1 vs 1. I destroyed her.

I was feeling so good to destroy this BS champ who was bullying me when i was melee. You can't know this feeling, it's so great.

Yeah i know i'm furthering the problem, if everyone does the same as me, top would be full of ranged champ from all lanes.

The thing is that they are too fustrating to play vs. You see i'm doing normal draft game to have a little bit of fun (i don't play ranked), and when you lane vs this, it's simply not fun.

You stay in your lane, trying to farm while being poked constantly. And most of the time, these ranged champs tend to be good at lategame Vladimir Kayle or teamfight Kennen or roaming Quinn . The main problem is tank items being useless. If defensive items were better, these ranged champ would have less impact.

But even with some armor (considering you have to farm hardly to get it), you still get destroyed by this Quinn or by this Vlad.

Without your jungler, if the enemy isn't a pure trash, you don't enjoy playing. And i don't see interest in a game where i don't enjoy playing.

Plus now, with the bot lane pressure and drakes, junglers rarely come top lane. If the jungler isn't your best friend, he will not help you. Bot and mid are more important. I don't blame jungles, i mean drake are so much important that most of the time, bot won the game if the jungler can have drakes.

But don't worry, i'm not that horrible. If my enemy top laner pick before me and i see that he picked a fair and melee champ, i will pick a melee champ too.

But when you are first pick top, i prefer play Karma tank in case the enemy would pick a ranged champ.

Counterpick is still another problem in top lane. It's have too much impact on this lane.

When you get counterpicked in mid lane, you can farm safe, the lane is short. You aren't totally useless.

When you get counterpicked in bot lane, you are 2 on this lane, you can help each other and the counterpicks are less horrible than in top lane.

But when you get counterpicked in top lane, you are in a hard situation. First, top lane is huge and you must manage your wave properly.

In bot or in mid, this wave management is less a problem.

In top, you are alone and your turret can be far away. The enemy can engage you at every moment and you can get in a very bad situation.

sigh, its kinda sad that you are complaining about something that used to be a normal thing back in the old days but i guess fair since right now CDR is all over the place and other champions have much less cooldowns and can spam with ease without fear of being punished for missing a skillshot

Except if a champ like darius spams, even with his generally low mana costs, he will go oom quickly, because his mana pool is incredibly puny.

maybe , but for me when i play darius i like to build item 3078 item 3800 so going oom was rarely an issue , but then again i am usually careful when it comes to spamming abilities ¯_(ツ)_/¯

If I can pick your brain for a bit on this subject what items with CDR do you feel are not worth buying and why? I found CDR frustratingly difficult to fit into his build until I started giving up things other players found important. In the end your playstyle is the only limiting factor so I'd like to see how you feel about a bit of outside the box thinking.
