This stopped for like a few months but ever since this new patch this problem has started again. I am waiting for over 1 hour just to try and play but there is this problem always occurs. I close client and reopen but still problem doesn't go. FIX THIS SHIT RIOT!!!!

I thought that it was only with my Mac problem until I seen your post, What's going on ? Im wondering if its the fault the new macOS or its problem with LoL itself ?
Xiao Suan Nai A1 votesIt is not macOS Catalina’s fault. I had this problem occur in Mojave. It must be the new LoL patch. It was working fine until 9.22 hit and now I am facing this problem again.
I also updated from Mojave to Catalina today and still this problem has not gone.
Nothing wrong with macOS. It is League’s fault.

I do have a easy solution for this problem though.
If I log in connected to my wifi, the client is stuck with the "trying to reconnect" box. The way i get in is that i share internet from my iphone to my mac, and then when i log in i get in without any issues. I dont want to play using the internet shared from my phone, so i switch back to my wifi. Then the lol client reconnects without issues, and i am ready to go.
dsw991 votesHey guys, if you are running on macOS, go to the app store and search for HotspotShield VPN & Wifi Proxy. It has a premium version, but if you just run it on the free trial version it should be fine. Just press connect and once the check mark pops up try relaunching league!
