Sion's Ultimate camera change is very disorienting

Sion First off, I really like the rework. His kite is cohesive and strong, has a clear role, and an amazing thematic. That being said, I find using his ultimate to be very jarring experience.

I see why it is how it is. The locked camera with a forward perspective gives the ability to 'drive' with the mouse cursor. While it certainly accomplishes this, I find that you actually give up a lot to do this (which is not worthwhile to me).

The ability itself is a ramp up based off distance. The longer and further you run, the more beneficial it will be. This causes us (the player) to want to use it as far away as we can to maximize benefit.

**Concern 1: **We lose vision off our intended destination.

When setting up for a gank, we want to carefully watch our ally and enemy interactions. We are looking for opportunities to give us advantages to successfully gank. Their positions, where they are moving, what spells were used, ect. My concern is once we activate our ultimate to commit to the attack, our camera is locked to Sion. Normally I would like to keep my camera on the enemy to observe and adjust accordingly. Since I can no longer see them, I'm taking a giant leap of faith that something significant has not changed since I last looked.

Since Sion's ultimate is a vamp up, we ideally would use it a good distance away. This would be at least several seconds before we can even see how things may have changed.

**Concern 2: **Camera angle shift causes a change of depth perception.

This might just be me, but I feel that when the camera shifts to Sion charging things look a little closer or farther when I last saw them. I think this is due to the angle change to allow Sion to see further ahead. This causes me to become very unsure as I approach a target and I begin to question if my original course my be a little off. This causes a lot of stress as this is my ultimate ability, and wiffing this may cause a game throw. Again this feels like another leap of faith and I'm often left hoping that my eyes don't deceive me. It just feels terrible when it's happening (moreso if it misses).

Concern 3:* The shift from free camera to lock camera feels disorienting.*

I normally play with free camera and it helps me concentrate as the environment itself is not moving. When Sion uses ultimate and the camera locks, everything is moving. The terrain, the fog of war drifting in and out, the walls, the champions, the minions, the ground. It's a lot to take in and I often find myself overwhelmed.

Overall

So this is my experience with Sion's ultimate. It's cool, it's neat, I just wish I could figure out what's going on while it's going on. Due to this, I often find myself using the ability at point blank range just to avoid all this.

So finally the point. I feel that the camera during Sion's ultimate can be done better. Unfortunately I myself don't have a good suggestion. I was thinking just leave the camera free, but this brings issues in 'driving' Sion. He'd be moving too fast and you wouldn't be able to move the camera and direct with the mouse fast enough, and at the same time.

So community, what do you think? Let's talk. Who knows, we might be able to piece together a solution to present.

TL;DR Sion's ultimate is too good for me, please dumb it down.

I was playing a game with a Sion jungler, and he used his ult to gank bot. He had no idea what was going on and accidentally screwed up the gank. Gotta give it to the guy, he managed to get the hang of it by the next time, but it couldn't hurt to make it a bit easier to use.

I do like how it's use makes a global noise. At least I have some warning that I'm about to be bum rushed by an unstoppable giant friggin' zombie.

I have no issues with his ult since i really only need it to catch up to a fleeing opponent that has tons of cc. Though from how easy it is to catch my targets now He feels very op, not that he wasn't before but now hes like a op fighter instead of an immortal tank.
