Is AP Kennen dead?

I've been thinking about picking up Kennen but at the same time, I only see AD Kennen against Rumble and Shen in LCK.

Dear Kennen mains, is AP Kennen dead??

AP Kennen works but I'd much prefer both Kennen's builds when auto attack version is not overshadowing mage Kennen.

AD Kennen is just kind of a generic bully. AD is less cool when it is the mainstream one and plays like an annoying standard ranged dps.

I did think the ult needed the nerf before. I hadn't predicted we'd be buffing Ruined King.

I'm not sure if Ruined King itself is OP atm and by how much.

As long as item 3152 and item 3157 exist in the game, then AP Kennen will always be viable to some degree.

I love playing Kennen when my team has a Tank Supp or JG. When I need to initiate a fight and we already have a tank.

That being said I have never played AD Kennen.

I never want to either. He does plenty of Damage as AP Kennen it gives him access to item 3152 and item 3157 in an AP build, two amazing items that he wouldn't be able to build if he went AD.
