depends on the champion , but let me tell you something you dont own blue buff if you'r a midlaner or the red if you'r adc if you'r given one u better be thankful for it , i was watching cowsep KR high plat and 2 wanted blue buff mid and top and cow sep took it midlaner "response was report master yi . afk farm is better at somepoint like if i take shyvana i would try to farm as much as possible to get my 3 core item then take a team fight that wins the game . other causes of not giving laners a buff (mid elo) is making your laners lane worse you know how? because your laner have no idea where the enemy jungle is, one gank and that lane is over.
