About the, "Nerf X Ad caster champion!" Threads that have been so popular lately.

Riot is working on slowly nerfing Ad casters through itemization and mastery changes.

I hate dealing with them in the meantime as much as anyone. I OTP an AP tank and I too am sick of being one combo'd by a variety of Ad champs because lethality, ℅ armor reduction, and ℅ armor pen are stacking too well.

But when riot makes too many changes at once without being able to test how the individual changes affect the situation they almost always wind up overcorrecting. It also makes it hard for them to tell which specific change dumpstered a champion when they go back in to buff them later.

Slow and steady changes now means they are less likely to overbuff these champions again a few patches down the line.

Let them get through their systemic changes (masteries and armor pen.). Then look at the individual abuse cases if you like.

The changes are already on PBE.

The issue I have is that they don't mind making pretty drastic changes even when people warn them that the change will make certain champions broken. On the hand they are extremely slow at correcting it and it's typically always starting from somewhere too strong and toning it down instead of straight nerfing down and slowly bringing it back up.

however, they're completely ok with introducing more problematic items/masteries/champions and encourage mage supports/carries botlane
