Even on champions like Tahm im taking demolish cause the other two are so garbage its not even a competition, minute 20 demolish is gonna half hp a tower with one hit on anybody with a decent hp pool, shield bash is gonna give you like 50 extra damage on your next auto and font is beyond BEYOND garbage

You could argue it for mage supports like lux, morg, karma but they only take resolve because of aftershock or bone plating in the first place so that doesnt really count.

Auto once to get the passive shield, again to proc Shield Bash, or you can E yourself and auto to proc it from the Aery shield, and Revitalize synergizes with Aery, her passive, and her E. Demolish doesn't scale well on her since she has almost no health to begin with. I take the flat HP rune because when you have such low HP, 15-90 is actually quite a bit.
Yes, there are other nice secondary runes like Presence of Mind, but nothing else in the precision tree is really THAT good for her, and Cut Down just gets taken because it's the "least bad" option in the tree (Tenacity is a thought, but let's face it, that stun could be reduced by 75% duration and you'd still get 1-tapped by a poro fart before it wore off).

FSRER2 votesThe only champion that shield bash is very powerful on is Malphite. You basically get free bonus armor as long as you have your shield on (aka most of the time) and you do extra damage with your e/w when you have passive shield on.

Sion can also technically get more out of shield bash.
Otherwise, not really.
Demolish is really just a top lane rune. other lanes taking resolve might take the others.

AlienPrimate1 votesI used to think the same thing but have found that the extra resistances while shielded are pretty nice and use it on Rumble, Nautilus, and Taric. Taric doesn't get much health so demolish isn't that good on him and as you said, font of life is garbage. Nautilus has a pretty sizable shield so he actually gets a decent amount of damage from shield bash. I think he is the best user of shield bash in the game. As for Rumble, I like to have second wind on him for laning so I just pick up shield bash for the extra resistances when shielded.

Many people forget that it doesn't only give some bonus damage for the trade, but also some armor/mr, and that it procs from allied shields as well, which with the rise of lux recently is important to mention.

(tahm is especially fun with shield bash, if you can get those full-health shields with your E and quickly auto someone afterwards, you can get a couple hundred extra damage on the auto from shield bash, though that's a pretty fringe/cheesy scenario)
as for font of life... it's not an especially noticeable rune most of the time, I think it's mostly useful to allow certain champions to take advantage of support item effects without having standard enchanter shield/heals.
