"Off-Meta" Picks

After those threads about "off-meta" picks, I swear to god I've only ever seen these off meta champs in my ranked games. Look, I get it, you wanna have fun, but please don't come in my game and go "off-meta" picks like Veigar top into a god damn Malphite whiles ALSO picking a Lucian mid in the same game. I'm freaking fed up with this bullshit. All I wanted to do was climb and now everyone's turning ranked into a god damn playground. I can't play and I can't carry if you're feeding and not keeping your laners in check.

Some of you may think that people are "playing seriously" but I don't. If you're gimping yourself that hard just based on team comps then you're not trying to win the game at all. I get it if you're a one trick, but if you can actually play other champions decently, then you should be trying to fit in team comps. I swear this game is full of boosted monkeys.

PS: Riot, keep Silvers, who are struggling to even get out of Silver, out of my Plat series games please. Your MMR is screwed. I'm trying to get into plat, why am I going against Diamond players?

I've actually found most of the lucian mids I've bumped into were clearly smurfs from ??? elo that they could poop on mid plats. If they were building AP luc mid that's sketchy, but I guess luc is one of those high outplay potential champs that smurfs are fond of.

There was actually a meta for awhile where mages/assassins top was legit instead of tanks/fighter sorts, so I'm somewhat more forgiving of that kind of 'off-meta'. Some sort of carry in a solo lane can in principle work after all.

I don't approve of non-marksmen adcs, or most unconventional supports though. Sustained damage gets to be lacking if you don't have a marksman, and unconventional supports are nearly useless unless they got super fed by the nature of the role.

Yeah, but veigar is a squish toy who only wants to farm early game and you're taking him into a lane where tanks want the same exact thing. If you plan on sitting there thinking you're free to farm with a malphite top, then you're delusional. The minute he hits 6 and his jgler has some common sense, then it's bring the pain all day every day. I just feel like people should look at comps a bit more and try a bit harder in ranks tbh.

Lucian mid is fine tbh, but having both Lucian and Veigar as off-meta picks in the same game is a bit too much.
