With the Recent Reworks that Seem to Not Stay True to the Champion

The Soulforged··5 votes·488 views

I'm getting really scared for my main, Poppy . The recent reworks have shown that the design team, which includes CertainlyT, has no idea how to stick to the identity of a champion, and as it has been said that the only ability of hers staying is her e, there is a lot of room to go wrong. I'm more scared for the rework than excited and I really want to continue to play my main even after changes and enjoy them. I don't want this to be another Karma which will just make me quit her or something. Plox ;*(

Poppy is getting a complete Sion level rework, which means that she didn't really have a solid gameplay identity to begin with

She has quite the clear identity. She's a yordle that slams you into a wall like a truck and begins to smash you dead. She always has had an identity as that little yordle everyone wants to run away from. She's prolly the strongest yordle in the league. It isn't that she doesn't have an identity, it's just that riot thinks her abilities are toxic.

that really depends on how you build. If you're playing AD poppy, you can pop w, and run around smacking people to death, If you're playing AP poppy, you E them into a wall and kill them with Q. If you're playing tank poppy, then you kinda yolo it and do what you want.

Well, with ad, you smash people with e/q then aas afterward. With ap, you slam them with e with more slamjam, smack them with q with more smackback, then you tickle them if they aren't dead. With tank, you wall slam em kinda, you smack them, then you continue to tickle them. Either way, pure tank poppy sounds like a pretty bad idea.

They are toxic.

Poppy's identity is going to get obliterated, and it should be.

abilities =/= identity Kit design = identities The only abilities riot really hates are her passive and r though.

Her identity is that she rampages through your entire team without any way of stopping her once she ults the right person and is fed enough and kills most of your team. She is able to do this due to said ultimate and her passive allowing her to build mostly glass cannon. She can't keep this identity in a way that will keep her healthy and balanced, unless Riot suddenly becomes really good at game design.

Also, "strongest yordle in the League" in what respect?

Can you read what I just said her identity was?

She's the only yordle that really gets physical with the enemy and straight up uses a weapon to fight them. Most yordles use magic or ranged weapons.

I lose to Poppy every time

Poppy's identity is going to get obliterated, and I MAY be able to get some wins against her.

Fixed it for you bro.

I've played against Poppy I think... once, in the top lane. I recall a jungle Poppy, and even a support Poppy as well. Both once. You don't see Poppy enough to feel oppressed by her. I've also started playing Poppy occasionally. She's fairly fun.

Poppy isn't overpowered at all. She has a toxic kit that needs to be changed because it's poorly designed.

Don't be so much of a moron, moron.

Then explain why. Try not to be insulting when you don't have a leg to stand on, chap. It's bad form.
