Am i a bad player just because im in the EUNE server ?

well, im currently hovering between gold 4 and gold 3 on the EUNE server and i have this friend who is silver 3 in the EUW so i am a full elo bracket ahead of him and im kinda of proud obviously not satisfied but proud of what i have reached i dont brag much but it makes me happy , so we were talking about random stuff and he brought out a point, he said: "you have a great advantage on me because you play on the EUNE server" he said that because the EUNE is much smaller than EUW people in the EUW server are much better because they have to beat more players to reach there ranks he gave me an example about a chess room with 10 people in it and a chess room with 1000 people in it and said that you have to be good to beat 10 but you have to be great to beat a thousand, and that if i played in his region i would probably be in silver 5 or something i called him salty and kinda just laughed about it but it has gotten into me none the less i googled it and discovered that the EUW server has double the amount of player the EUNE has and Korea has the most amount of players, so its a solid point, but is it 100% true though? and is the difference as drastic as he said it would be? if so then is it worth it to transfer a region just to get better at the game? 0_o it kinda of hit myself esteem
