PSA: You can't win a game by just splitpushing

Just had a Teemo top who almost never fought with the team and instead just was off farming by himself. He was split pushing basically the whole game and would always push too far into the lane and would get caught. Even though we were super ahead (I was 9/1 with Pantheon at one point with no smite jungle) the game ended up dragging for far longer than normal, as Teemo never fought with us for objectives. We ended up trading quite a lot of kills but with no organized push, they managed to drag the game out for 15 mins or so longer.

We also had a Lucian, who was acting similar to Teemo. Always by himself, constantly getting caught, and getting greedy for kills and just barely missing them. There was this one instance where he chased this Rek'sai all the way to their base only to die to their whole team.

Seriously, when a team tells you to group with them to push, try listening. A giant creep wave or free tower is not a subsitute for ending the game and winning.

Sometimes, it's appropriate to splitpush, sometimes it isn't. Please learn to distinguish when it is and when it isn't.

The problem wasnt the split push.

Its that the teemo sucked. He should of never ever been caught. Hes to fast with to many mushrooms to keep people from closing with proper ward coverage.

Eh, not necessarily. By splitpushing, you force the enemy team to follow said splitpusher unless they want to lose towers for free. Which puts teamfights in your favor.

But your title is inaccurate. That's what I'm saying.

yeah you CAN win a game by splitpushing. but you need to be SMART about it.. the Teemo in the OP was clearly doing it wrong

LIES Teemo was fine, his team just never game and pushed top like he wanted.... All he wanted was for his team to back him up and all push top together but nooo they kept going off to solo dragon and getting themselves killed, and then they leave me all alone to get ganked.... Fricking bronze. (This is Teemo's mindset most likely)

In Teemo's case, I agree.

Tryndamere, however, can.

In short, there are SPECIFIC people who excel at the sole purpose of split pushing. Teemo isn't one of them.

I lose and win many games because I, an ally or an enemy was split pushing. It works both ways. It depends on the situation. Won the other day because our Gangplank just split push all game and they couldn't put down any map pressure as they had to always send 2+ people after him. We got all the buffs, pushed other lanes and won.

you dont have a positive win-rate, so i cant trust that you know what does and doesn't win games.

lots of people with negative win-rates have opinions, and make assumptions. numbers dont make assumptions, and rarely change in this case.

Thats what I dont get, if your winning teamfights, then team fight/go for objectives and end it. if your losing, than an organized split push strategy could work
