Vlad's healing is a problem.

Bramble vest costs a thousand gold. Executioners is 800 gold. A grevious wound option for the mid lane? why, that'll be THREE THOUSAND GOLD for morellos. This is an issue, primarily against vlad, who even if he's barely ahead can heal through an absurd amount of damage. With Swain, he's got skill shots you can dodge, fairly easily in an open lane with practice. Vlad, on the other hand, has point and click and AoE. This AoE's range is very hard to tell unless you play as or against swain very frequently, and the point and click is... point and click. His E makes him incredibly mobile and difficult to kite if you're immobile so you're not outrunning a good vlad.

The point is this, I'm not suggesting he's overpowered (he may be but thats not my point), nor am I denying that he requires a certain amount of skill to pull off. But breaking Morellos into a second item that procs grevious wounds would be helpful in giving counterplay to him for AP users. In a similar stretch as thornmail having bramble vest, and mortal reminder having executioners calling. Maybe 'cursed ink' or something like that.

Vlad is not the problem (midlane and Vlad player here), the problem is the excessive damage, CDR and low base stats that the game actually has. That leads to some champions being WAY stronger than others without the strong champions being touched, we can basically say that Vladimir got stronger with the runes reforged. Nerfing him the way Riot does nowadays would leave him totally unplayable in the current meta.

which is why im not asking them to nerf him. Im asking for a cheaper AP grevious wounds item. Edit: Which you'd of known, if you'd actually read my post. Its only two paragraphs man cmon...

I did read your post, but Vlad now is all about surviving the early phases of the game, remember, it's an early meta, so giving champions something to counter him so early into the game would lead him in a bad spot.

Yeah god forbid there be counterplay to a champion right. Would make him completely useless. I mean, just look at champions like Darius and Xin Zou who rely on healing for tankiness, both- wait... no... both are still viable and are actually considered meta. Hmm. No but yeah you're right, AP champions should be relegated to the only class who can't survive a lane with vlad because there is no way to stop his sustain without sinking three thousand gold into an item that offers no mana or cdr. Silly me.

Or learn to play against him, or even better, play him. That's the META power, some champions are strong and some are weak.

??? You mean w? Which is not really true. It just makes him more mobile than the average mage.
