How to duel as kindred

Jad··2 votes·745 views

I recently have tried Kindred in the jungle and she is quite fun. But I can't seem to grasp dueling and winning fights/trades (I never seem to do enough damage). I think I have her clear down pretty good but not ganking. Any tips or help?

Kindred duels by kiting. Within her W, her Q drops to a 2 second cooldown at max rank which comes at level 9. Use that to dance around your opponent. Try to hit them with your E at some point and 3 autos after, the 3rd one does massive damage.

A typical engage for me goes like this:- Q into them to gapclose, slow them with E, activate my W as close as I can to them and start kiting with auto attacks and Q until they are dead.

Think of her as the poor man's Kalista.

I see. I knew it was kiting but never seemed to be able to pull it off correctly. Like I would start the gank and they would just turn on me immediately, so like wait to use her Q? Also what can I do against someone like Xin who can get right on top of you? Save the Q? Thanks for the help hopefully you can answer my other questions,

In general, I'd avoid dueling divers like Xin, Akali and Jax. They are better duelists than Kindred. However if you must, try to get your E on them as early as possible. Its slow will negate some of their power since they are targeted divers that need to get close to you in order to dive. If I were facing Xin, I would fake him out to see what he does. If he tries to flee, I'd Q in to him, E him and proceed to do what I suggested in my last post. If he attempts to engage, I'd Q backwards, E him if he's still coming and try to keep him from being able to dive on me while poking him when I can.

In all seriousness, QWE is usually how you engage a target, then just stay within the AoE from your W, and dodge skill shots with Q as you land auto attacks.

q cancels autos so you auto. then you Q. you auto. you Q. ofcourse while your W is up. so you get the less cooldown on it. just like riven.

if there is range between you and that champion start with your E then W and then Q and auto.
