What do you guys think of these assassin reworks?

I've been a kat main for years. I fell in love with her playstyle with the sinister blades (w) rework, and now it feels like they are reverting it completely. She can't shunpo to wards anymore, and her burst got limited to a draven-like mechanic. I quit league 3 or 4 months ago after noticing that they were not doing anything to change champions like Graves/Gangplank/Volibear, because I did not agree with the direction they were heading with these reworks. I want to know how other Katarina mains feel about her specific rework. Does it come off as much weaker, or compliment her current playstyle? Or will this rework have another feel entirely. I would like to start playing league casually again, but with my current thought process, it doesn't look like it'd be fun to now that my main is getting completely altered in my favorite aspects (ward hopping, e+w combos for poke). For reference on my own skill level I was able to reach diamond 5 this season right before I decided to take an extended break from league, just to deter any arguments that perhaps I don't know what I'm not playing her properly in her current state (I recognize there are multiple ways to play her, my go to favorite however is burst priority targets or clean up the fight with high damage).

Shaco was destroyed

Katarina is very fun on PBE, her damage is much higher but the highest possible damage is telegraphed like Draven, so opponents have more counterplay to her now too

Talon is fun, Rengar Leblanc are gonna be stupid

Shaco rework sucks, Akali too

I can't say too much about these reworks since I don't play on PBE but here are my thoughts:

Katarina - is very different from the current one right now and will take some time getting to master her again now with all of her setups, but overall still feels like she does lots of damage still and looks fun when you get a hang of it.

Talon - IMO probably the best to come out of the rework with keeping his key abilities while also either improving others and giving him a better passive and E.

Rengar - Somewhat better I guess? Ok no longer holding onto ferocity is a plus for me, new Q looks cool, but the instant ult with a long duration and insane damage increase with his necklace is a little insane.

Leblanc - Still going to be annoying as ever with her combos along with her clones a bit along with her passive. Overall, not the rework I'm looking foward to.

Shaco - I know a lot of people are complaining that Shaco is getting gutted, which for the most part they're right, but to me this is heaven. I just really hate this guy no matter what, whether the player is good or bad. So to me, this is a dream come true (bring on the hate from the Shaco mains. I WELCOME IT).

Zed - Not really much has changed with him besides no more W passive and gets stronger if you kill a powerful champion. Really more of a fail simply because he can still play safe until 6 and then go all in.

Khazix - Really like the new evolutions, especially the new ult, so I'm looking foward to him

Fizz - Still annoying with E but removed DoT per missing health and made his ult a tad bit better I guess. So I guess he's slightly less annoying now.

Akali - Everyone complains that she sucks but that's mostly because Riot has plans for a full separate rework for her in the future so I can't say too much.

Katarina - Very weird feeling and tricky, don't like how she feels but I do like that she takes more setup and skill inorder to make those pentakill plays. If they removed the positioning of her E that'd be great. Talon - Running around as him is badass and super fun, but actually fighting people in skirmishes or 1v1s doesn't feel that satisfying.. Rengar - Same as before really, I don't really have a different opinion on him. Glad his bone tooth was reworked for a better purpose. Leblanc - I think her skillfloor increased a lot... like way high. I want to say she sucks but I think its mostly just me sucking. Khazix - Okish, I don't like his new q, just looks and feels stupid, the ultimate is pretty cool, I feel like this rework will make him an evolve R first top laner... The biggest change for him is really the duskblade rework, his changes on his own are lack luster, but if you combine him and the new itemization he's a beast. Zed - He's still zed, they didn't really hit the mark on fixing him to be more balancable. Fizz - Same as always, more reward for making riskier ultimate plays rather than just melee range ulting everything.

Like legit, I'm more hyped for the item changes and the removal of ghostblade adcs than I am for any of the jungle or assassin changes... I don't feel like I'm playing assassins I feel like I'm playing divers like xin zhao, especially in 1v1 fights as talon.

I think the big four reworks are all good conceptually. I haven't played them on the PBE so I can't be sure, but all of them seem like steps in the right direction.

I don't play Katarina, so take this with a grain of salt, but I'm excited for her rework. It seems that Riot has taken away frutrating aspects of her (point and click near-instant burst that resets for easy cleanup, ward hopping which makes shunpo effectively a second flash) and is giving her more tools to function on her own without needing to be able to get a kill for it to be worth going in.

I'm a lot iffyer on the small reworks. The Shaco changes look like straight nerfs at all points of the game. The Akali changes are good for every ability aside from her W, which looks ruined. Fizz and Kha look great, Ekko seems basically unchanged, and Zed also might as well be unchanged (that new R passive just replaces the W passive).

Maining Kata for about a year, and it just looks right I am a little unhappy that she can't obliterate entire enemy team anymore, but still can one shot The thing I love about it is the E resets In one of the Kata vs Garen cinematics she was blinking everywhere, and that just looks right This killer beyblade lady jumping all around you and shanks you to death is just perfect But why only 3 targets on Q tho ;-;

Thinking of how I can peel from them after the reworks, of course.

Liofa11/1/2016, 10:18:01 PM1 votes

I feel nothing. Most of them will end up as bruisers before getting nerfed, Kat is even more bullshit than ever before, Fizz can one shot you if he lands a random ranged ult.

I feel like a lot of changes didn't really make assassins less frustrating. Mobility is still poorly budgeted into the champ's kits. Rengar is still toxic. All in all, there's a lot of ways to break these new kits. My money is on Rengar needing to be hotfixed. I also think Kat is going to need heavy nerfs for her ridiculous mobility.

I like everything but the "hardcore parkour" of Talon. Not that it is "op" or "Terrible" I just think it's silly.

Overall, I think it was fine, and can't actually find anything to complain about what-so-ever, but in saying that, I can't really find anything to praise about it either. It feels like "yaaay some changes ish" but it feels like this could have been just some random changes in a weekly patch if these were individual changes, but instead it was an "Assassin rework".

Again, not complaining, but it felt kind of lack luster compared to the mage rework for example. The biggest change honestly feels like the stealth and vision changes more than the champions themselves.

Leblanc late game will be garbage with that slow burst and ult, but still good. Katarina is strong but seems hard to play... And i want to play, not study the champ. Shaco is basically garbage early game, and I don't really care about the late game buffs because early > late game. Talon He can kill you in like 2 sec and then escape again with his E, kinda ridiculous.

Don't really care about the others. The reworks are good (better than the mage rework which was awful and really delusional) but i feel like they just ruined the champions, or i probably need to play them more often and get used to them.

banning shaco Shaco until his rework is reverted other then that fine

Ok sure but why11/1/2016, 7:12:21 PM1 votes

Talon is dead now; they wanted to make him do less team-damage and focus more on single targets, and their method of doing that was removing the abilities that make him deal more damage to single targets, like his E, Q and Passive, and keeping his W and R. Like, okay.
