I don't know how to feel about LoL anymore. I fell in love with it when I was 15, almost 5 years ago. I played it every spare moment I had. I've played well over 4,000 games, and 5/2/2016 I FINALLY hit diamond rank. I've played on 4 competitive teams (all around platinum rank), and studied streams/guides.

The preseason changes were a big shock to me, and took some adjusting to learn how to play against and in the meta. You made an incredible amount of changes then, and you decided to do the same thing for patch 6.9. I just want to know why you decided to make the change now, and why so many changes. As of now, the only reasoning I've discovered in your posts is so the game "stays fresh". I'm not mad at you, I'm just extremely disappointed.

You changed every aspect of mid lane in the middle of the season. For the past 2 or 3 years I have been a devout mid lane main. You've impacted every aspect of my playstyle, and build paths. My main champion, Katarina, now has a very restricted build path, and a lot of items that use to be great on her are now mediocre.

I'm soft-quitting League. I now have no interest to play every day. I have lost the burning drive to climb ranked, and the desire to play with my friends. In fact, most of my friends are moving on as well. Please, in the future don't look at one specific patch to make MASSIVE changes to one particular role. It leaves players disoriented and confused, and if they are like me, they will lose the desire to even play at all.

It's fine to be excited about changes, but for me specifically I dislike a majority of the changes to items/champions, and all the time I spent into attempting to master the mid lane has been thrown away. I have to relearn matchups, build paths, item values, and individual power on my favorite champions. I wish I could keep playing on 6.8, and climbing ranked. Now it will be months before I feel as comfortable in my lane as I did before 6.9.

I realize this will more than likely generate downvotes and negative comments, but please understand this is just my particular view on LoL and my preferred role. I know that I am unlike a lot of people, and do not welcome major changes.

I appreciate buffs/nerfs, and even tweaks, but not all around redesigning champions/items. Perhaps patch 6.9, paired with the changes to splash arts has just taken its toll on me. The game no longer feels like the game I fell in love with.

Bohohoho. Try playing jungle that every season they change it from the ground up and any time off pre season they shove new broken items. You are just getting a small drop of the "relearn your game" that jungler deal with everyday.

Paragraphs help people read things more easily.

This wasn't Boards Feedback because it is not feedback for the boards, it is feedback for the game.

I think Gameplay and Concepts and Creations are just where they have people looking for feedback already, so they figure they don't need a separate forum that might overlap.

Thanks for formatting your post.

Radical changes to a game like this, can be a double edged sword I feel. I agree that they shouldn't be as they are, but they do need to happen for the life span of the game. I don't like how the changes are dropped into one near end of season patch. Its a bit BS. Changes like this should be gradually introduced throughout the entire season so that players, like your self, and my self included, have enough time to really adjust without feeling blind sided.

I soft quit a while ago, and every time I get back into the game, even after just a few months, everything is just so different that I don't even want to play it. Gradual change is a great thing. As it consistently keeps the game fresh. The way Riot is doing it now, isn't the best way to go about it.

Than again, i'm also Silver, and not a game developer. So I can really only place my input based off my opinion alone. But thems my feels.

What items exactly are you talking about that are bad for Katarina now?
