CertainlyT-Champs /=/ CertainlyT-Champs (WARNING: pro CertainlyT-stuff inside)

To get it over with: I am not a CertainlyT-fan. I dont like at least half of his champs and i dont play any of them on a regular basis. I also dislike his way of dealing with the hate atm, he just acts like those morons in ranked who start the game with a friendly ,,MUTED''. But hey, everyone is different so lets get to my actual point:

Darius and Kalista are troublesome by design, they are TOO good against their prey and their interactions with their enemys are poor in my opinion.

Yasuo has a wonderfull kit. A squishy meleeassassin with no way out. I like the shieldmechanic in lane, a clever way to mitigate harass (like a finetuned malphiteshield). I also hate and like his ,,moment of power'' when his q reaches 3 stacks. Gets really exciting in those seconds. What i dont like is his CC-extension via ult and his focus on crits. Was it really necessary to make him aa based? I guess so but i think that the doublecritpassive takes so much of his powerbudget that many interesting gameplaypossibilities are wasted there.

On a sidenote, i am fine with windwall. Coming from a magemain, i think it's OK for him to have that, given that he doesnt have an escape or instant CC to defend himself. Maybe give the windwall a damagelimit until it's sated and fades.

I dont want to talk much about Zyra nothing really outstanding here. Generic controlmage with boatloads of damage thrown in the mix to make it work. Not enough focus on plants kitwise to make it special. Wasn't the designer's fault that she got released in ,,that'' state.

And now i want to say some things about his most succesfull amd controversial creation: The Chainwarden Thresh

I haven't seen much like that in league yet. The championdesign, the spectral madman who tortures in his spare time is fantastic and made very convincing.

About the skillset, it's hands down one of the most thoughtfull kits in league:

Q is a lockdown without the potentially toxic ,, oneshot'' from Blitzcrank. It also gives the Thresh a tool to place him inside of the enemyteam as some kind of reverse gap close. You dont close the gap to do something, you close the gap because you ALREADY DID something. Spectacular skill, dodgeable, much decisionmaking involved. Thresh is highly dependant on landing this to unleash his potential.

W: Well we all know this skill. An enemy is staggering at the verge of death and suddenly he is gone. A 100% kill disappeared just like that. One of the best supportskills and i am glad that he has it. For one it makes sololanethresh almost impossible and again, decisionmaking is often the key to that ability. Where do i have to stand when i drop it, where do i want to drop it, do i want to pseudoengage with that thing, do i want the shield in an all in or do i want the allyescape when things go south. This skill is op, but most champs have at least 1 unbalanced skill that defines them, i think it isnt gamebreaking enough to be massively complained about

E: This is so good, i raise my hat to you mister designer. It synergizes with the kit (q and r) and is amazing on its own. Knockback or small pull, clever use of the slow so the actual knockuptime is very short. Relatively short-ranged. Maximum skillceiling if you want to interrupt dashes consistently. This is the ability that impresses me most.

R: Overall synergy like a blitzcrankult: You hooked someone AND HE STAYS there for a while. Creates a zone of denial for the enemyteam, usefull but quite weak for an ultimate (compare that to a nami or leonault and i laugh). Situational CC, i like that its weak because of the power of his other skills.

Thanks for making Thresh, CertainlyT. He is your masterpiece. People enjoy to play him and his high pickpercentage while having a low/normal winrate shows this. A tip if you read this: People who actually want explanations and brainstorming are confused because you dont show up anywhere to talk about your own work. Why not jump into a reasonable thread and talk with those guys who actually want to talk? I for example would like to know how you guys want to work on Zyra and if she might become a more focussed minionmage.

That's it! Hope i could show that the hate for this guy isn't justified in its currrent form. If you want to discuss those championkits, feel free to do so!

Zyra is probably the only champ he has designed that doesn't have inherent issues that make balance all but impossible. That's my issue with him. I don't hate him like many do, but I do think his champs undermine the health of the game for flashy plays and a general "that's cool" feel. Overloaded kits are indeed "cool" and are also fun to play, but they are fundamentally bad for the game. The thing is though, that he isn't the only one making these kinds of champs. Look at Azir and Ekko for example. It seems to be a thing Riot likes regardless of how negative the impact is to the actual game.

Yasuo will be balanced, if he was using mana. Now he spams too much.

Does it still happen that Yasuo lands after his enemies making his Ulti CC him more than them?

Early game Darius could dunk you until Phage.

Late game Darius couldn't dunk a turtle.
