I feel that everyone who complains about Zed has NEVER played against a good Talon.

Why is everyone QQing about so much? I find it really easy to deal with him even as an immobile mage. On every "nerf zed pl0x" thread I've seen, all the comments of people defending Zed (especially the ones who use great arguments) get downvoted right away. Sure you might have to play differently against him, and he is annoying to lane against him, but if you don't die to him he'll be useless later on. Someone I REALLY FEAR however is a good player.

Talon has MUCH less counterplay than Zed. Zhonyas, QSS, and Mecurial all make Zed's ult useless, while only Zhonyas helps against Talon. Talon can practically 100-0 you almost as fast as while also having stealth (despite being shorter). Talon doesn't snowball either, he avalanches. Zed is much easier to shut down if he gets ahead.

I'd MUCH rather go against than champs like .

EDIT: I definitely agree that Talon has a terrible early game until six but once he reaches that powerspike you're not allowed to walk away from your turret until you finish Zhonyas or an armor item. Talon is bursty, he's not meant to poke you down like Zed does, its much easier for Talon to 100-0 you than Zed whose burst is delayed.

I rarely play as or against Talon or Zed, but I do spend a lot of times on the boards, and I've talked to Talon and Zed players about him. The two main things rae that Talon has horrific mana problems early game, meaning that if he's forced to use abilities to farm under turret, he'll go OOM in a few waves. He also only has aggressive mobility, which is one of the most frequent complaints against Zed; if Talon goes in, he's not going out.

Pickrate has a lot to do with what people complain about. I agree with you - Talon sits under the radar because of his low pickrate.

My only problem with talon is that you no longer have a totem for revealing stealth champions.

Last time I faced a good Talon, I saw his ult, I knew he was coming I ran to my carry.

and had 2 choices

hope I can guess his location in stealth
watch my carry disappear in the blink of an eye , dead before my abilities even reached them.

Never had an issue with talon before but not being to do anything if you don't have inv space for a pink is brutal.

I'm a 62K champion points Talon main. And in my opinion he's like Riven (Coincidentally they were released next to eacother). Their laning phase isn't that good and they're not that great in most matchups, but they snowball like crazy.

Talon has mana and all that jazz. Which means in a "trade matchup" the mages won't have as hard of a time dealing with him. However Zed tends to blossom very early and has no mana problems, so he's a constant and consistent lane threat. Thus people will remember him more because he's the problem that never goes away...

Talon's also broken, but Talon's not nearly as safe as Zed.

I have no problem with Zed killing me, I have a problem with him harassing me out of lane without ever doing anything remotely risky.

The thing is: Talon cant yolo towerdive. (unfed) He cant engage 1v5 and expect to get out alive. His early laning is weak. He is easily gankable no escape, no ward hops, no CC besides a slow. He is super predictable.

Sure good Talons can carry games, but at least you get the feeling 'whoops that was a pretty good Talon.. ouch'. Zed is picked up by everyone and their moms, because he is easy to understand, he is super safe, there is no problem to just instalock him, and it's near impossible to actually loose a lane.

I dont give a ** how strong an Assassin is in Late they all drop like stones. I just want to be allowed to play this the first 10 minutes! Additionally Talon requires so MUCH more good decision making and game knowledge, so much more Teamwork and timing. Talon is a true High Risk - High Reward champion (no I dont play him).

Which is true for Zed 1:1 except he dont need a powerspike and he dictates the lane pre 6.

I just have seen to many terrible Zed players winning games................. and so many bad Talons loosing games for their teams.
