Trying to stop the "Sated Devourer OP, Rito delete NOOOW" threads from appearing

The balance team was not stupid. Yes, the item is overtuned. But these guys did not just go "herp derp, here's an instawin item, gl guuuuyzzzzz ^.^". No, they got an item together with loads of balance levers and sent it in after initial testing (I hope, idk PBE stuff but I assume some kind of testing took place) to see how much it rocked the boat and how much it would need to be nerfed or the champions strong with it maybe needing nerfs.

Balance Levers: Attack Speed Magic Damage on-hit On-Hit effects every "Y" amount of attacks The stacks required to get item to said "op status" The amount of stacks given per Z unit killed (epics give 5, players give 1, scuttles give 2) Status of using On-Hit instead of On-Attack or On-First-Hit-Per-Target (or some other shenanigans)

So on, so forth. Since the item is strong (no one will deny it), it may need to be lightly nerfed in one of these areas. Maybe take 5% attack speed, maybe make the double strike every third attack instead of second, or maybe just up the stacks required by 10? It's possible people. This item is not game breaking enough to be immediately deleted, especially with the time I assume it took them to "create" said item. My 2 cents.

Wish this could be stickied, but it probably will be lost because the boards only show posts based on: recent updates, comment count, and upvote/downvote values. Thanks to the people who took the time to find it and read it ^.^

i dont think sated is op. it takes a while to go powered up. and if there are more then 1 smite user on the team, the whoever has devourer will take much longer allowing the enemy team to get ahead. side note, one thing that might be op about it, is that building it on an early game champ will give them good early game, and good late game. which i guess is what RIOT(!!not rito damnit!) wanted in the first place with strategic diversity. And i like that, go riot

Everyone types Rito, its why its my "quote". Also I agree, it's a very abusable period. Devourer itself is not that strong, but sated devourer is.

I don't think the "every Y auto attack" lever is going to be touched, considering it screws up the (every 3rd) hit champs who would use this time.

Personally I think the on hit damage should be looked at. Considering it scales so well with BotRK as well as many champion abilities. It shouldn't scale so well with itself. Reducing it's AS probably wouldn't be that bad either. maybe from 50%->40%

But over all, the most Broken champs with this item, probably won't escape nerfs themselves.
