Instead of nerfing the heck out of assassins, why dont you just ultra-buff supports?

This way the assassins would not be able to oneshot adcs every single time, this way the 4 men dive under turret would be much harder now and the support mains would get some love again. Why not?

Supports have enough power. If they have the capacity to completely, and consistently, keep an assassin from killing a carry, that means no no one else (barring mages) has a chance.

The best supports are midlaners lol Brand Zyra Karma Malzahar

supports like janna are already doing a great job of keeping carries alive but people really like to play bard and brand

Cause then you get supports taking over mid/top and making really boring laning phases that turn into easy wins late game.

Supports ride a pretty fine line between being crazy useful with no items but being outclassed vs. other champions in non-support lanes vs. just being crazy useful.

If supports were ultra-buffed, there wouldn't be a reason to play any champion that wasn't a support.

You mean like they already have been, over and over and over? It's not like they don't have up to 50% heal and shield power in items and masteries, or 2 really good shield items to add on to their on personal heals/shields, or the fact that they've stolen mage items in the update TO THE MAGES. Btw, before the nerf, I actually played Karma top with nothing but support items and a Rabadons after I got all the support items(subtract gold income item), and won lane and game. A few times. I haven't played it since the nerf but I don't think it'd be that much different.
