What if you could buy your teammates items?

What do you guys think if you were allowed to buy your team members items in game to help them out. Like buy them pots if they need them, or help them finish the death cap or something?

It would be very interesting. I would like to see something like this implemented, but I'll settle for restrictions I guess like buying your team members pots only or something, but would be cool to at least help out like that.

EDIT, Reading the comments ok, so like put restrictions as you can't buy items for someone until AFTER 20 minutes.

yadda yadda

Let's rework this to make it reasonable.

a) Buying for others is not permitted before the 10 minute mark. Don't want to be giving anyone a severe item advantage at the start. b) Can't buy most items for teammates, limited to: health pots, mana pots, wards, or donating 105g (3 pots worth). Total gold value donate-able is capped at 105 per 3 minutes to the whole team. c) The maximum amount of donations you can receive is limited to 210g per 6 minutes (e.g. you can't all donate 105g to the same ally all at once). d) You must be at base to buy for an ally, ally must go to base to receive what you bought for them.

Maybe need some other changes, but all this together may be practical. The 105g limit could also be increased as the game goes on. E.g. activate at 10 minutes and increase by 50g every 10 minutes.

This was how Dota used to work a long time ago. All professional teams would have everyone buy items for one person, who got 90-95% of the gold until he was 6 slotted. He got to be strong while everyone else would be weak. The same thing would happen in League, and we don't want that.

Time to buy my Aatrox some mana pots... Just sit in base buying them constantly so his inventory is full and he can't buy his Tiamat. Other ways to troll: Buy one of the switching upgrades. Thought you had a Sweeper? Nope, blue trinket. Merc Treads? Nope, now you have Beserker's Greaves. Buy an item that locks them out of something else. Upgrade your Diana jungle to a Poacher's Knife with Devourer enchant.

It's a bit tough to do, since you need a lot of gold, but if you just sell all your items and steal their farm, you can probably make it to their next item before them and lock them out.

so pretty much make supports have NEGATIVE gold income?

ScriptBrand9/12/2015, 11:43:38 PM1 votes

not fair to whoever is laning against your teammate

Supports would have no gold income and adc's would have infinity edge after five minutes of laning

Just saying.
