It's Time to Admit ADCs are Weak RN

ADCs as a class, are totally underpowered. 99% of ADCs are now completely terrible for 2 simple facts that their build paths are restricted to crit items and that assassin update goals were a failure in every aspect. crit items build like crap, especially early. The handful adcs that are meta are there because they can use armor pen or their kit is perfect for a bunch of weak kneed adcs As for the Assassin Update, the goal of making assassins less snowbally while also giving time to react to their damage were both failures.

Firstly, as for crit items being the only viable option in botlane, you destory adcs that were using armor pen and were balanced around the power given by armor pen. You can see this example HEAVILY in Lucian, who was a complete monster with and now that these items are negligible on him, hes one of the worst adcs in the game. Other adcs that also suffer from this problem are all adcs that had unique builds that got the champion nerfed, and later the item. Obviously, not all to the same degree, comparing ezreal to jhin in terms of power lost is laughable, but both suffered in power, even if jhin is unplayable outside of pick comps.

are champs that unaffected by armor pen nerfs, however have been pretty weak overall for awhile, outside of a couple glimpses of power and then nerfs, returning them to a medicore or for varus, garbage state they were before. Basically most adcs are near their power level, which means most adcs are all around what around was tier 4 pick with being tier 1. The differnce in a tier 4 pick and tier 1 are immense, and you see a massive curve of power as you go up tiers.

Secondly, this explanation will be much shorter, because its pretty obvious whats been going on assassins. They're fucking busted. Expect for talon, god bless that we add an ability that wasnt really helpful for talon's problems and that does no damage. As for the rest of the assassins, their burst time was shortened and we've been seeing ACTUAL oneshots. are the major offenders and staright up are opposites to what the assassin rework was supposed to do. These champions offer nothing but damage and snowball like crazy. These guys legitimately leave no counterplay for an adc that isnt a well timed flash or disappearing off the map. Their build paths are cheaper and stronger than crit items and even have better defensive options. The fact that assassins didnt see a serious wave of nerfs along with raid boss poppy is a complete fuck up.

In conclusion, a mixture of most adcs being in a overnerfed state and the assassin update showing that you can never slow down damage with more damage.

tl;dr fix crit items or give back armor pen, and nerf poppy and other assassins
