What is the range on the new assassin mastery?
Does anyone know how many units you have to be from allies for this to proc?

800 units, so it's not a great choice in a duo lane, but should get some use in team fights if you're diving at least a moderate distance in front of your team.
It is not that strong a mastery, so I wouldn't force things too much to have it active as much as possible. It adds something like 8 dmg on a 400-500 dmg combo at lv. 6, 30 dmg on a 2.000 dmg squishy-busting late game: that is, nothing so noticeable to be worth modifying your positioning.
Its sense, imho, is giving something instead of nothing for non-junglers that invest in the Cunning tree at the tier 1 keystone and don't need cookies. But it's still a meager something.
HAHAHA 800 units! i always said "about 2 flash ranges" which should be exactly 800 units
