Simple Change to Galio Ult

I don't really request changes to champions, but this one thing has been bothering for quite some time. In a lot of scenarios when playing Galio you will find yourself rushing to save your teammates with a flash+ult that can turn a fight. Only to flash in, ult, but pop your ult because your right clicking finger was on overdrive in the heat of the moment and you accidentally cancelled your tide turning play... and... dead. Everyone is dead ... and you look like a buffoon. Now yes, I understand this is a fault of the player and not the game or anything but It is important to note here that Galio's ult is the most important part of his kit, so accidentally cancelling it should not be so easy. As a Galio player, if you can not ult the only thing you are good for is; soaking up damage, Q'ing enemies, speeding up friends, and giving someone a defensive buff that heals you. Now it may just be my buffoonery but I would imagine I am not the only that has had this problem. So what im asking is that his ult be changed to where it can only be cancelled by hitting R again instead of being able to click off of it. The same could be said for other ults that require you to stay in place, such as Nunu's or Katarina's, however I have never really played these champs so I am not sure how this would effect them.

Thanks for your time! Remember to up-vote if you would like to see this change.

Good suggestion.

How about Galio's R cannot be cancelled by movement during the first 0.33 seconds of the effect if it taunts an enemy champion?

Oh god I thought I was the only one with this problem.

What about if it gets cancelled by Galio, it gets a shorter cooldown, like half of the CD is refunded? Could that be a thing or is this an absolutely horrid suggestion?

Why not just rework Galio entirely? I'd think his ult should be a channeled zhonyas ability that gives allies bonus defensive stats and blocks all skillshots like a braum wall. It'd fit into his kit and lore better as a defending gargoyle champ. Enemy team gonna engage? Nope. Enemy team gonna poke everyone? Nope. Galio gonna jump in and die despite the fact he has a poke kit? Nope.

If you want to buff Galio then give him a better base MP5 so chalice can actually sustain his insane mana-costs.

Actually with Katarina I don't mind her being able to click away to stop her ult. For her usually you arent going to click much after you shunpo in. Galio I think is the only one that has a downside to being able to cancel his ult by walking. Nunu let's him react faster. Katarina get's more flexibility in what she does after she kills someone. Galio cancels a channeled CC and ult and just awkwardly sits there and cries while he gets mobbed.

If you can't push R with your left index finger and not right click with your right middle for a few seconds, then ... god be with you.

This happened to me so much, i always feel like everyone is sighing irl thinking "this galio" after it happens :/ Oh and why would you want to cancel his ult anyway, id say if you at the least taunt a single enemy player you shouldnt be able to cancel it to begin with.

+1 Definitely think that Galio, Katarina and Nunu should hit R (OR ANY OTHER ABILITY, QWER or Flash) to cancel/end early ult rather than Move, Attack-Move, Attack-Move-Click or other movement clicks. Sure it introduces the slightest delay in starting movement, you have to cast something before moving, at the cost of being more consistent with the Ult.

It would be consistent with canceling teleport which is also a channel.

As another Galio player, I actually don't have this problem. In fact I prefer it the way it is because you can quickly react by clicking some where and moving there immediately, rather than the slight delay that would occur if you had to press R and THEN click to move some where.

As a Galio player, if you can not ult the only thing you are good for is; soaking up damage, Q'ing enemies, speeding up friends, and giving someone a small buff that heals you.

I also disagree with the idea that Galio's all about his ultimate. He can be a very durable poker, and his Q does substantial damage if you continue to land it every time it's off cooldown during an engagement (and if you aren't an idiot and build pure tank Galio. Please don't build pure tank Galio.).

This change is for players who aren't as nimble with their clicks. It's a really minor thing, all things considered, but I still prefer it the way it is and would at least like the option to keep it some how.
