Why are people saying Riot promised jungle diversity?

If you look back at the preseason introduction post, Riot said they were going to work on "Strategic Diversity" not "Jungle Diversity." Nobodies breaking any promises so everybody calm down.

Prepare to get flamed by the community lol. Either way, this next patch seems to be doing a lot of good. I hope for the best.

next patch will make nothing, xin buffs are good, volibear is worse and he get worse buffs than xin. nauti buffs are only buffs at lvl 9, zac buffs are useless

I'm sorry, I can't hear you with all that jizz in your throat.

You're nitpicking words to make it look like the jungle is working as intended, when even Riot knows it isn't. There is nothing "strategic" about having the same 2 junglers in every game.

Actually, recently one of them pretty directly said that champion diversity in the jungle is included in that...

Oh thank god, somebody said it.

For anyone entering this thread and don't believe so, there is a difference.

For example, there's going to be a reason why champs like Sejuani, Amumu, and Nautilus can't really all be viable at the same time. Their jobs are all the same; frontline engage tanks. Riot can do everything they can to tune strategic diversity so that that champion strategy (frontline engage tank) can be totally viable in today's meta, but if any one of these three I just called out is just barely better than the other two, that barely better tank is going to take priority over the others. Strategic diversity (frontline engage tank) is there, but Champion diversity will not (one may and most likely will be favored over the others).

So you're saying that Vi isn't viable because Lee Sin does more damage?
