So it's clear that the lowest pick ratios right now are champions with low mobility and no dive potential such as Kogmaw, Ziggs, Anivia, Viktor etc... You compare this to the highest picks: Yasuo, Diana, Akali, Pyke, Zed etc.... It's obvious the current meta is purely assassins and a lot of champions have been left out. This is further proven by patch 10.2 where Riot are buffing such champs as Ziggs.

Question is, how do you guys think Riot can bring other champion back into the meta instead of mid lane just being only assassins?

Its DMG meta, if your champ not killing someone in 2-3 you take a troll pick... I dont enjoy it at all.

What are you talking about mages can one-shot just the smae way. That's why they are not buffing other artillery mages Xerath Velkoz Lux because they are very much good. All the champions with the low pick rates you state have high winrates. We all know there is a problem with damage but riot's approach today seems like "well we know this is the issue in general, so let's make 1 champion change".
