Temporary Ban After Loss?

Hey all,

Not sure if i'm alone on this however If i lose a game I will always take a 15 minute break. I'll go outside or read a book, choice is yours. I make sure I give myself time to regain composure or "untilt". Funnily enough I come into games and can clearly see from someones match history they are on a huge loss streak and it can be shown the way they act or play in a game.

Do you think Riot should implement a say 10 minute timer on queue prevention before starting another game if you lose? May better the community by indirectly creating a less toxic community? Just food for thought, I would love to hear your opinions :)

Play a match, game super close the entire time, everyone doing their best and having fun cuz it's the most even match ever seen, end up losing just barely

Tell the enemy it was a great game, you're in a good mood cuz you just had fun, go to que up and Boop

"No que 4 u cuz ur a salty mad boi who lost, git gud and u can play more n00b"

Good mood instantly ruined, and get annoyed at league

People should be able to exercise the same self-control you have and take it upon themselves to cool down if they're frustrated. Riot isn't here to act as our conscience or our therapist, they're a business, and putting people in a time-out is not what they're here to do. They want us to play as much as possible. More play = more exposure = more money spent.

I don't think a forced time-out is a good idea. But I think some simple message that taking a break is an option might be helpful, as long as it doesn't give people the feeling of rubbing it in your face. Maybe even give people the option of turning it off, or set up precisely on what kind of a losing streak within what amount of time the message should show.

I'm thinking something like "Seems like you are on a bit of a losing streak there, buddy. Our advice: Sometimes morale maintenance is the most important skill to have. If you are still chill and relaxed as ever feel free to ignore this, but if you are starting to feel tilted we would recommend taking a short break."

It would only tilt players even more if they are in a losing game

No. Not everyone has a ton of time to play and wait for queue block for no reason. Not everyone loses composure or tilt after many losses. It is not Rito's place to force a break on me just because some people can't handle a loss streak.

No, they should not decide that

I like your thought, but it's not really realistic. Would a bartender say "You've had enough drinks for tonight, I won't serve you anymore"?

Might not be a bad idea after maybe 3 loses or something. Not after just one though

Heh, that's a neat idea! I agree with buddy, definitely not after 1 loss, but maybe after a few. I could sure as hell use something like that. I wonder if it would be effective to offer it as an option to people - something you could turn on and off, like the chat filter. It would definitely cause a riot [slayer-jinx-wink] in the forums though haha
