Did I miss a Morde change?

I must digress that school work has kept me out of the game for a week or so, so I'm not sure if I missed something or not. With all the pop up of Darkness my old friend... I mean Morde, I can only assume he had to have been buffed or something. I used to play bot lane morde back when he was initially updated, but stopped when spell vamp was removed. Is he now viable again?
