MalzaharClickR·9/23/2017, 4:13:06 AM·6 votes·780 views

I have been playing for the last two years, I'm a jungle main and I want to improve I'm playing with golds/silvers and bronzes as of right now . weird right? This account is unranked though. I want to improve , I'm legit trash at the game but I enjoy it . Any high elo tips on how to actually improve ( No bs on get 100 cs by 10 mins, ward etc I heard it all but I want something new something you high elo players do that make you high elo. thank you.

The biggest advice I can give is to relax. The biggest mistake I make or my teammates make is trying to force things that won't feasibly happen. You can make plays, but don't force plays that won't happen. Restraint is a valuable but highly underrated skill

Just some advice from your friendly Silver III, so make of it what you will.

Watch high elo youtubers/streamers especially junglers because that's what you main. The main thing to get better at is making calls. You should learn to see more opportunities to get objectives and learn the risk/reward of any situation.

Like for example, if you want to sneak a dragon you should know a lot of information. Where is the enemy jungler? Where are the enemy laners? Is dragon warded? Is the enemy team likely to know where you are right now (Where did they last see you?)? Is your team in a good position to collapse on your position or are they creating enough pressure elsewhere to draw enemies away? And things like that. Basically use information to figure out if you have a good chance of doing something.

So I think if you watch high elo play especially with good commentary you can learn about those things more easily.

Step 1: Mute/ignore anyone who says 'git' or 'gud'. Asinine.

Main one or two champions so you can focus on gitting gud at the game instead of trying to juggle that and gitting gud at your champion(s) and the same time.

Recommend playing ranked to limit variance in teammate/opponent skill levels.

Figure out why you died every time you die*, and what you could have done to avoid it.

Try to focus on single things at a time until they become natural to you (csing/warding/etc, just pick one and really drill yourself on it).

*= spoiler: It wasn't because of your teammates.

If you want to improve, play normales.you'll see more picks that make sense than in ranked(joke appart, you can play against people with higher elo than just silver/gold and you'll learn a few tricks)

Understand your win conditions. Who on your team can carry, what player needs to be where, should you be splitting or taking baron. In a skirmish, is there an ability you need to flash, what do you need to do to win. Get better at instantly recognizing that in changing situations, so to develop your decision making skills.
