Tips for mid lane ? Need Help.
Need some good high elo tips for the mid lane , I'm silver 3 so preferably anything higher than gold 1. Just stuff like trading , staying alive , trading / csing , how to carry as a mage etc thank you . Anything helps.

To save on wards, I like to put a ward in one of the bushes, then hover over that area while laning. If the enemy jungler heads your way, you'll see him. If he comes in the other way, you'll have time to get away.
If you play as an artiliry mage (Vel'koz, Lux, etc) stay the fuck in the back line. If your spells are all on cooldown, don't think you're autos will ever have enough to kill someone who has a sliver of health. 9/10 of the time, you just die.
gold 4 I feel left out (Sad face).

I like range and poky at the moment, or malz/vlad.

Pretty simple. Dont shove mid because you will be ganked. you are the attention of the map.
Dont play yasuo.
Ward ward and ward the lanes
WARD dont forget red trinkets.
Engage when you know you have the upper hand
Count enemy spell cds ex/ yasuo: is his tornado down ? good time to poke since he cant poke back (assuming ur playing a ranged like 
/
)
Again dont play yasuo until you learn high mechanical skill, you will more then likely get rek'd (not saying this to be rude, yasuo is a very mechanically skilled champion.)
Roaming is always good: look for ganks bot, if you get your botlane/toplane ahead that will make life easier for you in the long run.

EDIT:: forgot about build paths / spells
Build situational, if your against a zed it could be good to get a stop watch early, blocking his ult and being able to get the kill on him can help you cheese the lane.
Items such as

if against a really heavy ap burst such as annie i usually rush a 
and leave it as that (dont upgrade because it is not worth)
Heavy AP team? and best of all

on some one like annie

For a champion like viegar i like to take 
for getting to lane and farming and for escapes
i only take this if they have a healing champion like 
I feel as if it becomes useless late game, although it does help with early cheesing.

Cs just takes practice, but shoot for 7/min at least. Don't use a lot of abilities early to clear unless you're shoving to roam. Trading is a lot about knowing the matchups but you can look at your own minion's health bars and when the enemy pauses to auto attack, use your skillshots when they are locked in that animation. Its hard to explain without talking about a specific champ. If you want to carry pick up champs like twisted fate, corki, taliyah. They are best in my opinion because you can roam bot or top with ult/package. Add me if you have any specific questions Ill try to help
