Stop complaining about supports.

Janna Alistar The community complains about obnoxious safety and disengage. BraumLeonaNautilus The community complains about excessive tankiness and play-making ability. Annie Zyra Sona The community complains about oppressive damage. Blitzcrank The community complains about the one trick pony that is Blitz. ThreshMorgana The community complains about excessive CC and the lantern/shield. Soraka Bard The community complains that there isn't anything to complain about.

I'm so tired of seeing thread after thread whining about how such and such is OP or overkitted, or how boo-hoo they're weak and never see play. At the same time, they complain that bot lane is stale or certain champions dominate.

Let's use thresh as an example. He lacks the tankiness or all-in of leona, the pure play-making of blitz, or the damage of any bot-lane mage. There are several champs with better peel or poke and arguably with better roaming. Thresh sees as much play as he does, because of GD whack-a-mole style of "balancing." As someone who has mained support for for quite some time, I have seen all of his competition rise in popularity only to be nerfed.

Thresh is only as popular as he is because of his 'jack-of-all-trades, master of none' kit. He is a survivor. Every time his competition is nerfed, his nail looks a little higher by comparison. Let's use some critical-thinking for a moment: If thresh is nerfed who rises up to take his place? Thresh is my main, and my opinion is that thresh isn't OP but his kit isn't something that can be "countered." He is the epitome of a skill-based champion. You can pick Thresh into an unfavorable lane and potentially win.

The champions I see as being unfavorable to lane against as Thresh rise and fall with the meta. I remember when Braum or Annie would absolutely wreck thresh. Leona was/is considered a counter, and did extremely well in the recent meta. Janna was picked constantly in high level play. Morgana and Blitz are headache. Sona is an underated monster when played right.

The whole point being is support especially seems to follow knee-jerk balancing. The community decided someone is too tanky, damaging or safe and everyone is sharpening their pitchforks. GD didn't like bot lane damage mages so annie got nerfed. GD complained about tanks so braum and leona got hit. Healers had their turn. Now Thresh is as strong as he is because every champion that could do something better than him was nerfed. Now guess what, more calls to nerf thresh.

TL:DR - Don't complain about diversity when your idea balancing revolved around nerfing whatever support is currently strongest. And the only thing you're going to accomplish by nerfing thresh is deleting him from bot-lane.

That's my rant. It was all inspired by a poster's brilliant idea to remove all the damage from Thresh's Q and R. I mean seriously? At that point, there's no logical reason to pick him over Nautilus. We already have several low damage, CC tanks.

Also, I think Bard is in a really good spot right now in high level or team play. It's a shame bronze and silver yolo-Q doesn't have the team-wide skill to fully utilize him.

The threads asking for Taric buffs make me laugh because these are the same people complaining that Annie's point and click stun is oppressive.

Annie's point and click stun wouldn't be complained about if her passive didn't work with Tibbers.

If her passive didn't work with Tibbers, she'd plummet on the tier lists.

Soraka is complained about her heals taking her HP. Rightfully so.
