Great, they're guessing it may be released.

I think congratulations are in order. I have yet to see a company botch its matchmaker this badly since the Halo collection. Lyte and his crew deserve a medal for their determination to screw a large percentage their player base over.

Let's be honest, we're never going to see SoloQ. It will never be released. With the failure that is the DQ, soloq would be the final nail in the coffin. The high MMRs will switch over in a heartbeat and most of the soloplayers will leave as well. Where does that leave the 4man groups and diamond+ players? There's also the obvious point that Lyte can't stand the idea being wrong or seeing his pet project burn.

A fantastic summary from Reddit:

"Lyte doesn't want to release solo queue at all. The team that built dynamic queue is also responsible for releasing solo queue and they know it'll completely kill dynamic off. The longer they can delay solo queue's release, the more time they have to not make dynamic a complete failure (or at least put some time between dynamic's release and death).

Lyte's team only entertains the idea of solo queue because if he says "solo queue will never come out" like he wants to, he knows the community will fucking riot and go over his head to get it released.

So its up to us. Lyte doesn't want it released, Riot will happily tell Lyte to fuck off if we demand it. If we continue to buy his bullshit, he'll happily continue to "postpone" it.

His job is on the line here and he will pull every shady trick in the book to try to make Dynamic queue look like a success, even if that means thousands of players do not get their preferred game mode. Its an unfortunate scenario made possible by how Riot handles projects (giving complete autonomy to the group running it). Unless the community makes enough noise, a select few individuals in Riot can fuck us over for personal gain."

If Lyte's idea of using the suck-cost fallacy and "incentives" to keep players in DQ fails, we'll get a post in three months saying "We're sorry players, internal Lyte(tm) reviews showed soloQ increased toxicity by 150%. Therefore we will be unable to release it."

I refuse to play ranked until SoloQ is released or they sink it completely. At least if they finally admit to never releasing it, I can go play something else.

Dynamic queue was a failure. Not a good idea on paper or in practice

Nah man high elo players are loving those 45 minute queue times when trying to play solo, because everyone else is in a premade

And then a random D2 player has to play against all of CLG simultaneously

Definitely a great system 10/10 would recommend

A perfect example of Riot Soon(tm) phenomena.

Beautifully said. Not sure why riot would let one employee destroy their product.

Some people can go on with the shit that it's a team game, but it really isn't. I just wanna play solo man

I would love to see the LoL community legit call out Lyte, but Lyte doesn't come to these boards. if you want to call him out you'll find him on Reddit more then you will here, which in itself is pretty sad.

The only point I can agree with, is that ranks may become meaningless on some players, since they play with premates on a higher level than they would normally do. At the same time though, his premates are playing at a** lower level** than they potentially could be playing. Trust me, a lot of people dont prefer playing with someone who drags them down. So unless they are cleary boosting (which is punishable), this will not happen too many times.

As for high elo players: Yes the system is kinda flawed when meeting TSM as a non 5-premate group.

Other than that the system seems fine and people are probably searching for excuses. I had no issues whatsoever to reach platnimum after being placed in silver 1 (LOL). Yes it was somewhat of a grind, but it has been like this eversince they introduced the tiers and divisions. Sometimes you need a few games more, sometimes less. But you'll get to you deserved ranking. Most complainers have possibly already reached their tier ...

Never knowingly played with 3 or 4 premates in about 70 Games. So even I am matched with 4 premates once, I may be lucky and win. And if not, who cares? A few lp are meaningless on the long run.

I like how there's no news on fucking twitter than on the official forums/website

Lyte has literally done nothing that's remotely beneficial for this game. His player behaviour system was a complete failure (only promotes toxicity) and now this abomination known as dynamic queue.

Dynamic Q is a mixed bag for a lot of players. Sometimes its great and sometimes its awful. I just want consistency.

uptvoting with the hope that lyte see it and feel ashamed .

What is the difference between SoloQ and DynamicQ? (I'm new to League).

Now I don't like DQ either, but everything you said in this post sounds like some high school conspiracy theory with very little actual thought put into it.

Riot is aware of whats going on. Things don't happen over night, have some patience.

Will you return to this thread and offer an apology once it is released? Doubt it. Like most of the cyber generation. You're talking shit because you know you won't have to answer to consequences if you're wrong

Honestly, DQ was exciting for the first couple days playing it, and then after that I got so sick of playing ranked, facing teams of 4 and 3. If people stopped playing DQ in protest for SQ, then maybe they will finally notice that no one likes DQ.

The issue with a delayed soloq is that the people who have been playing dynamic will then see their months of "work" reset when solo is released, which is only going to add fuel to the fire. I'd imagine (and hope) that if soloQ is released it takes existing dynamic rank as starting point. I don't see any other way this far after season start.
