The differences in skill at the same elo is amazing.

Why does every game feel like its 2 decent players mixed with 3 retards. Why are there such massive skill differences at the same elo? Some people look like they play at a mid gold low plat level and then you get people who legit deserve to be bronze 5. This goes for the enemy team too. This game gets so beyond frustrating in its current state because it feels like the worst players have a much bigger impact and its very hard to solo carry games now. 90% of my games seem to come down to which retard from each team gets caught out first or one team just gets absolutely rolled. I feel like this is a 2v2 game with each team having 3 bots. Once upon a time I was gold in s4 and plat in s5. Didn't play s6 or s7. Now after 200 games I can't even carry myself out of silver. Hit gold promos once. Now I just bounce between silver 2 and silver 1 80-90 lp.

Silver is horrible. There's an INSANE amount of skill difference here because this is where everyone, their monkey, and their great-great-grandmother gets dumped. The problem is that in this elo a large majority of players (including myself) don't play ranked very often, but definitely have better game knowledge than the average player. Also this is the elo where 'first time X champ YOLO' happens a lot.

Because snowball Because they might end up in match up they do not know how to play against yet Because they got screwed over early by a good play Because you fail to recognize how map pressure works and push blame and player who is getting the receiving end of it. Because you don't understand how to counter trynda split push.

You do realize that sometimes you are the 'retard' you've describing the eyes of others, rite?

People screwing up in game does not mean they do not belong in the same league as you, dear. I find your post to be pathetically arrogant.

because people have bad games, because people make mistakes which can cost quite a bit for the game regardless of skill lvl. People also have very different strengths and weaknesses, some are good in the laning phase and only the laning phase. Some people are horrible early but great in teamfight scenarios.

This is so true, in any elo. Currently at plat 3, you see people playing really well, as if they deserve Diamond 2 etc, and then you get those that are plat 2 who literally play like gold 5 max.

Pretty much this, considering I just went on a ranked streak after barely playing league for a season. It’s like some down syndromes and autistic kids escaped their caretakers and started playing league

Dysnomia3/25/2018, 6:19:23 AM2 votes

You get one feeder retard per game minimum.

Minimum i said.

SenorBobbers3/25/2018, 9:46:08 AM2 votes

idk, why do you use one game as anecdotal evidence to determine one person's skill as a whole?

Feel Apathy3/25/2018, 10:44:12 AM2 votes

You seem to play cheesy early game champions and don't get rolling too often, then the mid-game comes and you lose a teamfight.

Perhaps change your champion pool to something more effective? Or find a duo-mate ?

Because what elo you settle in is heavily dependent on which champions you play.

Play a low tier champion, you're probably going to end up 6 or 7 ranks lower than if you'd primarily played a fotm OP champion.

Because it's League.

I think the anger comes from the person feeling held back by the other players. Meaning they don't have the rank to reflect their true skill.

Which if you're not challenger or a pro you shouldn't really care what your rank is cause if you're silver and climb to platinum... Who cares but you. Lol

But if you're going to treat this game as a reflection of one's self or just trying to enjoy it. I've found the best balance is have a main account for ranking. Then when you get on a losing streak, or bored, or angry. Then play on the other account for fun in normals or even ranked with off meta picks or builds or play roles you've been wanting to try. Which I realize feeds into the problem of teammates ruining games but if it's not ranked and you're not getting paid for it then who cares.

You're not going pro, you're not going to be a famous streamer, you're not going to be rank 1. Just enjoy the game for what it is.. a clown fiesta of egos. Lol

It is matchmaking. It is 100% messed up. I just played 10 games, in all 10 games my team was all unranked silver 1, while the entire enemy team was all Gold 3's. And to top that off, win %'s were in the red on my team, while the enemy teams were all over 55%. That is an insta loss. I did win 4/10 but it wasn't fun.

The skill difference comes from people like you, who simply have bad luck(assuming riot doesn't do it on purpose). Getting bad teams enough to keep them down when they should easily be in the next division. It stacks and stacks and now is chaos

A humgle Gold 5. A few days ago, I played against 2 Lux players. The first one, a Gold 2(give or take) was hyper aggressive and would NOT miss any skill shots, danced around anything anyone threw at her. It was unreal. The next game, another Gold 2(give or take), another Lux, made my blood run cold as I thought, "no... not her again...", but... no, a totally different Lux, and this one just... let me hit her. Over and over. Both accouints were legit Gold 2, with roughly equal win rates, both mid players, but the mechanical difference was unreal. The second Lux must be there on sheer game knowledge.

TL;DR - Yeah, the skill difference between players in the same tier and division is astounding at times.

I consider bronze to plat to be 'one trick playstyles', pretty overwhelmingly. (can't speak for diamond, but I wouldn't be surprised)

If the game isn't falling into their playstyle-- they'll fail look like a complete buffoon. If it does- they'll succeed and look really really smart and coherent. It's just about the environment you encounter them in.

If you play with a lot (and I mean A LOT) of low elo friends, I think you'll notice this. It'll be 'oh, that's my friend that always engages poorly / afk splitpushes'.

TLDR: everyone is bad, just depends on the game.
