I earned and opened 2 chests today, both gave Champion Shards while I have all champions. I now have 7 of them, and barely any skin or ward shards. While I understand that's RNG and that's fine, can I at least be assured that the wait for a feature for players like me to make use of these shards isn't going to take like 2 years? Otherwise Hextech Crafting is seriously disappointing me.
They had plans to make the shards be used for mastery level 6 and 7 for when it launched, but it was scrapped based on player request.
They also did state that they were trying to find a new thing to make them used for, but because they had to start thinking about it pretty much when the system was released, it may take some time
A bit of an old topic but I really hate how you get champion shards from chests when you can buy a random champion shard for IP. Takes a lot of time to collect chests/keys and then I get a freaking champion shard? Come on...
I feel cheated each time I get a champion shard from a chest instead of a possible ward/champion skin.
EDIT: If you're gonna keep champion shards in chests, at least make it a better reward by giving more than one or giving some orange dust with it to compensate.
