PSA: I can't 100-0 Mid Tower at Level 7

When the enemy Zed roams bot, I know to shove mid to damage tower, but don't you dare get mad at me when you and your support got double killed even though I warned you of his attack, and I don't get the tower. Why didn't I get it?

1: Maybe their jungler held lane? Maybe I don't want to try to hit tower when LeeSin is staring (kinda) down. 2: Most champions that roam have mobility, he's gonna get back in lane fast, especially if he doesn't manage the roam, or kills you quickly, I don't have much time to push. 3: I'm not fucking Tristana. I can't do much damage to towers, ESPECIALLY if I'm a mage who hasn't gotten a ton of AP yet, which U wont't at Level 7.

Yes, I know to shove when my lane disappears, but don't get mad at me when my champion doesn't suddenly become Jinx at kill 3 towers.

People have some unrealistic expectations of Mages this patch. They expect them to be able to push as fast as a 4-minute Ghostblade on Zed. News flash: Ain't nobody got time for that. Ahri doesn't have as much pushing power as Zed. Ziggs only has waveclear, no real tower damage on a reasonable cooldown (~20s CD on passive). Talon can push towers pretty fast, but he's gonna die to their Lee Sin if he stays longer than 3 autos (including the reset on Q).

It's even worse when you're a jungler and you're expected to help shove a tower at mid...WHILE YOU'RE CLEARING JUNGLE. And people ONLY seem to ask you to help push if you're on the other side of the map (Gromp/Krugs).

Up you go!

It annoys me to no end - I've called MIA, I know exactly where my lane opponent is going to gank, and you still die bot. I can deal with that but then when you start spamming pings on me and the midlane tower, which I'm clearly working my way towards, I almost want to throw my weapon down and say screw it.

And what's worse is, if I'm not roaming, I'll shove the lane as hard as I can but I'm not missing CS if it can be helped (i.e. a more controlled push), otherwise I'm losing far more than that Zed did when he moseyed down bot.

Story of the midlane : Ennemy picks akali/lb/kat/zed. You're a utility mage with no mobility. You see the guy clearly going bot. You pinged. You say in chat "care bot, X is coming to gank, back !". You ping again. You ping again. They die. You get insulted because you did not follow something that was easily prevented by using a brain.

Oh also, don't get me started on TF mid... this one is always gonna get fed because the botlane automatically assume that overextending/pushing under the ennemy tower is SUCH a good idea.

"Follow" no I won't follow when all you have to do is just BACK to your tower.

If I'm getting ganked by mid 3v2 in bot and you're not taking tower, that'll bug me. But if I am getting ganked 4v2 (jg+mid+bot) with a power dive AND you're pleasantly farming, I don't care how many pings you throw out, either you and jg need to get off your ass or you're useless. Yes, if I get killed early to a 3v2 and you warn me, that's on me. But if I'm losing to FOUR and you're not even getting a tower out of it, then WTF ARE you doing? Hell, at least rotate top and do SOMETHING useful there if you can't take mid tower instead of just saying "oh yeah guy, my dude's roaming, care".

Here's the question though. If you can't pressure the lane or get a serious advantage...AND you can't roam because you're immobile...then why are you picking that champion during an assassin meta?

If you refuse to adapt your pool then you should at least adapt your playstyle. Roaming on immobiles may lose you CS but at least you can stay even in kills.

if their jungler held lane then the onus is on you to rotate bot and follow up on your midlaner's gank.

Typical 'mage' situation against Zed,

1/ Ping their ass off (might or might not happen) 2/ Zed proceeds to 3v2 their bot (diving optional). 3/ Their bot died, their adc takes tower. 4/ Zed goes back to mid 800g and a level richer, possibly also a dragon buff. 5/ Zed blows the so-called 'pro' mage off. 6/ Zed takes tower 7/ Said 'pro' mage proceeds to go to forum to whine, never forget to make a fool of himself claiming he did his part and his bot should have been able to 2v3, thanks to his magical pings.

Moral of the story: Bot can NOT defend a 2v3, with or without your ill-timed pings, either they will be dived, or forfeit the tower and run away. Unless you can take that mid tower and break even, bring your ass down here.

Yeah, my usual response is to shove one wave and then try to gank the lane my enemy isn't roaming to (since assassins will generally whoop a mage in the jungle)
