Gameplay + = Classist.

I feel as if Gameplay Plus is kind of a classist way of going about it. drawn up in spite in a hope of limiting Abuse to Moderators, by providing a Easy Forum Moderation for More seniority Forum members, while giving the Lackies, the unintelligible complaints. I personally feel Game play Plus takes away from the Community. believe it or not people like negativity, and I kind of don't like that you sensor people as much as you do in a nation that's supposed to have freedom of speech.

frankly I don't care what people say, and neither should you.

Couple of notes:

  • The reason we went with a Gameplay+ option is so that you can keep your negative space. We aren't trying to take that away from you. I agree that would be a bad idea.

  • I disagree that Gameplay+'s existence takes away from the Boards. Does Concepts & Creations take away from the Boards because Story, Art, & Sound exists? I suppose we could merge everything into GD, but I think GD would hate that as much as the other sub-board's communities. It's useful to designate different areas for different conversations. Since G+ is different from Gameplay, it makes sense to have both.

  • It's definitely not censoring to have a different space available for a different conversation. You are free to choose your level of participation on every sub-board.

  • Freedom of speech is afforded to citizens by governments. Private entities are not obligated to offer that to their customers, and they rarely do. You are free to say what you wish and avoid retaliation from your government. We can neither provide nor take that away. It is an unrelated issue.

Here's my honest retort my actual Concern is that the Programmers of riot that we are all hoping to reach, will avoid the Negative space entirely and choose only to see What they want to see, to see the Negativity is a good thing, and so many people avoid it. for example Jennifer Lawrence can't name a Single X-men. that's terribly unhealthy I want my programmers and game owners to know the lore and background of everything they create and the legitimate concerns about it. I want to see the people who create the game, Defend their reasoning because it teaches me what they value it makes what they do so much more meaningful. and I want to see that their not just a pretty face at riot, and they aren't just collecting money. I want to see that they are Devoted to the art of entertainment. and sometimes you only see that when you slap a guy down who's angry. I know your not counselors your game developers but lets be honest their are a LOT of toxic things in League of legends It's amazing how Toxic everything is, and it's Nice to see Justification, or Realization of how Toxic it can be from the Game Devs, when they come down and say Hey, we get it, we're working on it. or just laugh with you about how Amazingly frustrating it can be.

sometimes it feels like they create a Toxic atmosphere, and then just ban people who lose their temper without any acknowledgement that maybe 12 seconds of chain CC is too much.

so many people avoid it.

This is exactly the point that makes G+ valuable. If Gameplay isn't something that the people find helpful, they can just stop looking at it. Ezpz.

With G+, we are hoping to cultivate a space that people want to use. We've also been very careful to avoid designing it around the expectation of Riot interaction. Our main goal wasn't to draw Rioters into that space. Our main goal was to provide a place where players can have a type of discussion that is difficult/impossible to have on Gameplay. If that draws Rioters, great, but that isn't necessarily the point.

Your opinion seems to be largely shaped by the expectation that G+ is a place where we can "submit" queries to Riot. That is not the goal of G+, and again, I think if it were, that would be a failure as a concept, so we can at least agree on that.

and this Right here is why I love being able to Post in Game'play, I have a feeling if Posted this in Game'play Plus it wouldn't have gone through. but because you confronted me on my fear and Treated me Fairly I totally get and support it now. I actually like the Idea of Game'play plus after you explained it the way you did. But I do have to admit I'm worried forums will move to a place where I'm excluded from the conversation because I can't compete at the level of English/grammar and constructive sentencing to be allowed a voice in the future.

I guess I'll have to wait and see, thank you for addressing my Concern.

I'm glad I could help!

It should also help to know that I haven't posted on Gameplay+ yet; my only recent post is on Gameplay. I do truly believe that both sub-boards are needed because they serve very different needs. Let's hope that bears out over time!

my Major complaint unfortunately is still there, to my knowledge with my last attempt that you moderated to get onto the gameplay+ to follow the rules it was Deleted and did not match the Criteria, by you. and I have no understanding as to Why. a little background here I Have a University Degree in Biology. if I can't post onto the board, nor can I figure out how to get a post onto the board. I can't help but feel the regulation for it is a little strict.

ModKnightsKemplar1 votes

It is definitely strict, but we're happy with that. The number of posts making it onto the sub-board is currently in line with our expectations. If you want to discuss your post, in particular, probably the best place to do that is in our discord server, but you can also post in Discuss the Boards. Any mod will be able to look up the post, so you don't have to post the whole thing there to discuss it.

Honestly, I think I'm just going to let league be the Private club it is and just start looking around for a new hobby. they are making it quite clear that they only want to communicate with a Nitch group and the rest of us are just fish in their pond. yeah it's a fun game, but I'd be lying if I said I'm proud to be a part of this community. what they really did was just kind of make the Equivalent of private club for the Elite who Think like they do, and they are basically saying we Caitor to and work with these people, and we are happy with that business. I can't fault them for that, I just have to accept that I'm not who league of legends wants to sell too.

I don't know who the "they" is in your mind. The moderators were the ones that conceived Gameplay+ and approve posts for it. While we are able to do that because of our involvement with Riot, Rioters were not the ones that came up with and implemented the idea.

To some people, that probably feels like it was Riot's doing. To the people who created it, it feels like an idea that originated within the community (a higher quality gameplay sub-board been requested by multiple users who aren't mods).

aka I do not Support Moderation, I feel its an attack on Freedom of speech, and your taking your Power of control way too far.
