Will Kassidan's Visual Update come with Gameplay Buffs?

I was curious whether Kassidan's new visual update (coming soon apparently) will also come with some slight buffs to his base stats?

I feel like a little more health, armor, or magic resist would help with his early game/laning phase. It always seems like I'm chugging tons of health pots and getting nowhere in my lane unless the the opposite team feeds.

This could be one of those cases where I just need to "get good" or "learn the champion", but I have heard several times that Kassidan is terrible nowadays. I'd like to hear your opinions on the matter and if you think that Kassidan deserves this buff? I mean, why take the time to visually update the champion if no one will use him?

kasadin is supposed to be weak in lane he spikes later on

Remember his old power spike? That shit was terrifying. Snowballed harder than Akali and was nigh uncatchable in pretty much any situation.

They usually staple on a few changes whenever a champion is changed unless they REALLY dont need changes

Doubt it. It's just listed as a Visual Update, which doesn't include gameplay tweaks, so unless Riot changes their minds, I sincerely doubt it will happen.

Unlikely. He's been played a decent amount in top lane, particularly as a counter to some of the pokey mages, and he's doing well there. Straight buffs probably won't happen.
