Buff Bards Late Game

The reason I say this is because I find that bard has definately a very impactful kit..but once everyone is full build or near that...it CAN more often than not be very hard to be as impactful. There are certainly many tricks I've found to ending the game with his utility, and circumventing situations with his tunnels but when everyone is dancing around each other waiting on "who's gonna engage" etc.. his late game power is close to irrelevant when built with utility focus. If you went the AP route..which you shouldn't really... then ok his q's and auto's will do some work on ONE person if done right but that's all their is to it. He needs a slight balance to make him feel still "relevant". Is what I'm saying ok with you guys ? I'd like some opinions. Please no need to be rude, most people here are very good at giving advice and thoughts on champion balances. What do you guys think about bards late game ? I think his early game is very nice when you land q's and start getting your team fed. Super super good at snowballing champs and yourself (utility wise) it's very easy to build bard based on situation of game. I am in love with his kit and just wished that as time went by he would still feel as strong. Like perhaps a level 3 tweak to his ult ? having it do something extra than a stun ? idk...anything is fine for discussion. So let me see what you guys think. How do you Bard players feel going into the late game after already having built armor and lockets etc..or banshee's. What are your thoughts on how he handles carries like vayne etc... Late game i just get insta deleted no matter how well the build was made to counter the team and last and provide support to my allies.

Yeah, his heal is absolutely pathetic past level 3, even if you max it. Definitely needs some hard buffs. And either more charms or better scaling - I'd lean on more chimes, since the speed boost is what makes the ganks possibly good. But to get three chimes in a row before a gank and have them in the right place is just too rare to actually make it a viable strategy. More chimes = less to rng = more about skill. Also, I'm always way underlevelled, even if I try to get all the chimes while staying in lane as long as possible.

all they have to do to make him op is fiddle with his passive just wait a couple months to see if they do

I dont mind if he is a early game supoort. I mean ever other role has a great late game champ or a early game champ. So why not one for support?

That said I do think they buff his pass as you dont have to get to many of those little guys.

My two suggestions:

Buff either chime spawn rate or scaling -- currently 2 chimes spawn every 50 seconds, so you literally cannot get 100 chimes before 42 minutes into the game, assuming you don't miss a single one... and that still leaves you without half of his passive scaling (which has unique scaling up to 145 chimes, then infinite flat scaling after)

Allow meeps to be toggled on or off. Since you have no damage and no wave-clear, you often have to auto-attack to either help with objectives or to help with minions. This means that during teamfights you rarely have all your meeps up, and once your meeps are gone, your attacks tickle.

Another idea that could help: Make Q scale with HP rather than or in addition to AP... (he should never EVER be built AP support -- his ratios are crap and he roams enough that you need a bit of bulk to survive if you're found)

I kinda wish he could have all 4 Meeps at Level 1 since 1 Meep early on does NOTHING!
