Can we get some type of reward or notification after a successful report?

(Disclaimer* I'm aware of Instant Feedback, but that hardly happens.)

Generally reports to most people is just something you do out of frustration and in slight hopes that you may get the instant feedback report. Other than that, I feel as if most people find the report button almost next to useless. It would be nice to know that someone in my game who called me a r%%%%% and told me to hang myself received a punishment accordingly.

The purpose of reports isn't to satisfy your vindictive ego. It's to flag a client sided awareness of an issue. They have no reason to heighten your pleasure of making someone suffer as revenge. That makes you just as bad if not worse than the person who offended you.

If they told you to hang yourself, they will be punished. That's not acceptable and one of those phrases that automatically flags action.

If they called you a "R" word, they result is generally going to be that they need ~90-100 flagged games/reports, and then Riot will take action for bulk behavior. They don't generally discipline for one instance of calling someone a name. They do so for persistent behavior.

A reward for reporting someone? Geez. Long story: In the chinese server, there was a competition between "clans", in which the clan who had the best team-spirit and attitude would win a prize. The players from other clans would report every single one of their enemies in order to win this useless prize. Not a so long story after all... Anyways, your proposition is exactly the same as this situation. Never forget how players will always attempt to crack the system and neglect other players for their own sake.

That...would just make the report function questionable at best... Seriously, name one multiplayer game that rewards you for reporting your fellow players. That's like getting paid to swat your schoolmates and neighbors.

Riot added that years ago.

Then they decided to do nothing with it, let it degrade, and eventually allowing it to fail to meet it's minimum requirements, all without touching it.
