This is driving me absolutely crazy and I'm starting to get really annoyed

Ever since hitting 100 LP at Silver 1 and being put into Series games, I've had nothing but toxic teams even in my most positive of games.

All the games leading up to it are absolutely fine. Pleasant, fun, and no one blames or harasses anyone else even when we lose.

Then I hit my series (for the 4th time now) and "Fuck this I'm AFK if we don't surrender" and "You're a fucking idiot I'm done" gets said really early on in the game even in champion select.

What is it? Do you want me to carry people who are lower than me so I can advance, or do you want me to carry people who clearly and vocally don't want to win the game and don't care at all?

I don't know how this system works, and I don't claim to, but it's starting to seem like something is severely wrong with series matchmaking.

Highlights of past 3 days of going in and out of series games;

-AP Rengar -AFKs toplaners -Support Renekton flaming after he gives first blood -Toxic Ahri and Vayne players -Constantly having to tell people to "calm down" because they think the game is over right after first blood -Toxic champion selects where no one wants to talk and immediately starts trash talking each other -Getting reported for no reason other than telling someone to calm down and to ask them to do something politely

Am I the only one who experiences this? I know Silver isn't known for being as pleasant a gaming experience, but I feel like it becomes a whole new level once I'm in my series games more than ever.

What do you expect in a free to play game? I really wish it was pay to play. The only thing holding this game back is the community. Absolutely the worst one I have ever been apart of.

Also not sure why I was downvoted, but I guess that's more testament to how bad the community has gotten.

Well...No. You're not. Those were my last 9 promos. about 5 of which I actually made it through. Gets frustrating real quick when you can tell the system is obviously going about testing whether or not you'll get "promoted" in completely the wrong manner. Being able to solocarry 1-4 other people less skilled than you for 2-5 games does not make you more inherently skilled as a team than the enemy who may or may not have to do the same thing. I never understood why in a 5v5 game your INDIVIDUAL ranking is so influenced by 4 other people.

LoL Matchmaking: Imprecise, Inaccurate, and Invalid.

I love all these posts complaining about "toxic people" and the "community".

It's people, they are everywhere, this is what they are like. There is nothing special about League or the community here.

It's a competitive game, its going to bring out competitive behaviors. You aren't directly competing with or against random people everyday, so you don't experience this side of them most of the time.

Deal with it or move on, despite Riot's best efforts you are not going to have a competitive environment where everyone loves each other and hugs it out after each bad play.
