Camera issue on Ryze's ult

When I pan over to the area I'm going to teleport to with his R and then I press it, it brings the camera back to the area I'm teleporting from then goes to the new area, this is dumb because it really leaves you vulnerable after you press it. In the time it takes for the camera to go back to Ryze and go to the area if it had stayed fixed on that area I would've been able to see and cancel based on different scenarios...Say for example I'm coming in for a gank and I use his R, then one of his teammates TPs in on a minion I would not be able to see that and cancel the ult. When Twisted Fate and Tahm Kench TP in the camera doesn't do this..plz fix.
