The fighter problem's biggest culprit: Yi

Unless you're a fighter or assasin and can take him if Yi reaches you you're good as dead. With how sticky he is and the gapcloser he has, you'd think he shouldn't be so good at instakilling anyone who's not the tank. It's horrid trying to deal with him as even if you survive the upfront burst you can't outrun him. He gets to you and without help or an abundance of cc he's the butter to your toast.

Nah, the Fighter Problem's biggest culprit is Ashe. Her ranged Threat combined with heavy Control basically invalidated any Fighter that didn't have over the top Mobility and/or CC and gave rise to the glut of Xin-era Fighters who had kits jam-packed with a little bit of everything. Ashe caused Fighters to be a homogenized mess.

Counter play bro counter play. He isn't OP at all, he is strong if you don't have a counter play against him, but if you do and have a good focus he is useless.

If he gets ahead or survives til WAY late game and hits full build, sure, he'll destroy most champs he comes across. On even terms though a good portion of the roster will own him.

Except he is not even a fighter to begin with.

His gapcloser has 18 sec cd at lvl 1, and 14 sec at max level, that's prob one of the longest cd for any gapcloser he needs to aa or stack cdr or ofc, killed somebody to even have the possibility to use more than once in any given teamfight.

He is immune to slow when running yes, but have you tried landing anything other than slow onto him and see how fast anybody can delete him just like how fast he could wipe you if he caught you distracted? You don't need an abundance of cc, you only need 1, then 0.5 seconds of team effort so he can go back to his base.

That's pretty fair tbh.

He is only remotely a threat under 2 conditions:

  1. He sneaks up to your arse and at least hack away half of your hp without you knowing, nor did anyone landed a cc onto him.
  2. He got so fed early it no longer matters.

Which both of these scenarios are your fault, a behind Yi will die to a super minion 1v1 that's how bad he is, if he is actually fed then by all means, he should be rewarded.

He has so many counterplay options on the table it's not even funny. Yi's fine.

EDIT: Also he has 0 cc in his kit.

He was cheesy, and a little strong but I don't think OP. He built pure AP to do one thing and one thing only. He cleaned up teamfights. There was no need for him to ever participate in one because he had one big burst of damage that would reset only if he got a killing blow. It was annoying to see him stay out of teamfights (because he was useless there) only to run in and penta.

I'm talking about when they reworked him so he couldn't run AP anymore.

A 1 second stun is enough to kill him...
