This autofill bullshit is getting on my last nerve, RIOT.

Now, I don't mind supporting once and a while, but when I get stupid as fuck support picks on my team, then it starts to grind my fucking gears. This system, within the span of what? 3-4 months? has ruined the experience of my games DRAMATICALLY. I've literally uninstalled League 3 times now because my ranked games are literally corrupt with meta-mancing support picks, like support shaco who builds an ancient coin, then rushes gun-blade. No sightstone or control wards needed. This is one example out of, at least, 200.

Yes, I understand that the system used to be similar, in the sense that if you got last pick in the old client, you "most likely" got support. But something needs to change, it's literally ruining ranked guys.

I agree. Personally I'm top/mid and I don't mind being autofilled supp occasionaly, I have ready supps picks for that. But the number of autofilled supports in your teams being SO HORRIBLE and INCOMPETENT is mind boggling. If you can't play it just DODGE rather then taking a guaranteed loss for yourself and 4 other people. Most of them don't even communicate that they can't play it, they take it by pride and pick a random champ as support then proceed to feed because they don't know botlane dynamics. You only start to understand they are autofilled when you see enemy botlane going legendary. At least if you are not dodging tell people taht you can't do it so I dodge myself (better then loosing because of feed).

Atm botlane is a huge gamble where it's either your bot or their bot feeding the other. It's always very one sided. Close botlanes are much more rare then any other lane. Being paired with a random against 2 randoms and being the target of most ganks/roams don't help either.

Solution : remove autofill and give some ip bonus or other small thing (banner or whatever) to people who support or fill often. A "team supporter" ribbon if you supported or filled x number of times in your last y games ? Make it have different colors depending on the number maybe, so hardcore supp mains can display their competence ?

if some one gets autofilled and they dont play sup or then u lose. they will feed cause they dont know how bot lane works or pick some random champ and doesnt help the adc .

Yeah, it's fucking great, lets force someone play something they have no clue how to play. That's the ranked experience we all want.

It's not even just that, It's the fact that they DON'T want to play support because everyone finds it "useless" and "unhelpful" so they just pick whatever they want.

Then why dont you secondary support?

Now you get less autofill supports and you are much more likely to have a decent bot lane. I do mid/support and I get mid more often than not.

As a support main who always picks primary support, secondary fill, the only time I have a problem with matchmaking is when I get forced to mid because someone else had support priority over me. I HATE that.

That said, I don't see why there isn't a simpl toggle option where you can choose whether you prefer to spend 10+ minutes waiting in queue for one of your roles rather than being autofilled. If people are dedicated enough to getting their own way to be willing to sit around doing nothing for that long, let 'em.
