What does your main say about you?

Or more specifically, what drew you to your main and what do you like about them? Is it their gameplay kit and mechanics? Was it their lore and art? Or was it their personality, or a combination of the above?

For example, my main is Kindred. I joined League around the time they were released, and I found their login beautiful. I read their lore, played them on free rotation and fell in love with them instantly. I like playing this cold, calculating killer lamb, and an impulsive & deadly wolf. I like how clever use of their passive gives her incredible late game damage. I also love their ridiculously game changing ult. Also is it weird that people theorize that Jhin is actually Kindred, and his kit feels surprisingly natural to me?

Anyways my question is why do you play your main? Their lore, personality or gameplay? Or is it because you see part of yourself in them?

Gonna say right off that bat that my main is Teemo . This said, if you want, you can scroll down past this comment, otherwise, enjoy reading.

It all started when I was below level 5... Me being stupid, thought that LoL was another of those MMORPG where you'd start with a fighter Garen , a ranged Ashe or a mage Ryze. As I started playing games, I learned lots of new champions and I had no idea what to do. I just tried my best to see if I could at least do decently in lane without dying too often.

One day, I was playing my usual Garen top and met my main... Teemo... A name that I've heard about it and got me worried at first due to it's awful rumors... As I played the match against a player Teemo, I got destroyed in lane... Death... After death... After death...

5 deaths later, I sat under my tower... Looked at Teemo who was laughing... And laughed back... He couldn't be the "Satan" that people thought off... He was far too cute and inocent to be considered evil. After the match, I just chuckled as I saw Teemo leaving the match, always proud of losing to such cute yordle.

As months passed by, in a random shopping spree, I bought lots of champions with some IP I had. Teemo was one of them. When I looked at him, I thought back to the game that I lost and wondered how did he work, why was he so infamous? A few bot games as him and I figured out why. His kit was so easy... As easy as Garen's... He was ranged, simple and nicely fit for a solo lane.

During the Murder Bridge event, I got Teemo in the randomness of ARAM, so I gave my best in hopes to be able to help my team...

I ended up 7/0 in that match, even an allied Brand prayed that I didn't die in that game... I knew what it meant... I was destined to the little yordle... I was destined to find the truth about him... That Teemo was never evil to begin with... That the comnunity was WRONG about it!

But to prove it, I had to prove I deserved him...

So before the pre-season 6, I started playing Teemo APC because the tank meta would destroy me top lane. I took advantage of adcs having to spend 1550 gold in BF swords while I only needed 1250 to get lots of damage. I ended up level 5 in the process, did well with a variety of supports and felt proud of myself to know that I could play such champion.

Now I proudly hold my level 5 Teemo mastery as evidence that no one deserves to shun him for crimes he didn't commit. Teemo isn't a bad champion, it's just that anyone who hates him is just bad at countering champions and those who find it annoying aren't living the game to it's full potential.

I don't find him annoying, I find him a challenge! I'd rather face a Teemo a thousand times, due to dying to a honorable yordle, than facing any other true evil champion such as Darius, Evelynn, Renekton, etc.

I even beat another Teemo AS Teemo because I could build him to counter him well! I even managed to be friendly enough in ways by, but not limited to:

-Getting 4 honorable oponents in a single match. -Spending 20 minutes farming without trading with an enemy Kayle who was tilted because of a ban he didn't want. -Spending some sweet time talking to an Illaoi who was losing horribly and giving her an easy win when my team failed their lanes knowing my lane would be next.

If my main could talk back to me... He'd probably thank me for giving him a chance and not just blindly judging him like everyone else. Me and him... Are the heros that this comnunity needs... To stop this toxic comnunity, I need to get rid of the flamers that hate Teemo and later ALL of the toxic players! That is one of my goals... To which I won't surrender that easy!

If you read this far, thank you and hopefuly you'll understand my whys.

My main is Lux I suck at making cool decisions while under pressure in the middle of fights and like to take advantage of people who make mistakes by comboing and killing them while remaining completely safe.

Ezreal - Lots of variety in items and isn't stuck in a single role all the time. Plus his gameplay is self-reliant so you can take care of yourself in team fights instead of hoping your team will handle things.
