Should Jungler Shove Minions Into Tower If The Enemy Laner Has TP?

As Master Yi Jungle I ganked for Gallo top and killed Yasuo. Since Gallo was low health, I helped shove his lane into Yasuo's tower to deny Yasuo xp, but he teleported to tower to collect minions anyway. This happened twice. The problem is since both of us were shoving lane, although I didn't take any of the gold, I leeched two mionion waves of xp. Then when yasuo teleported he collected solo xp. As a result, although my laner got the advantage that Yasuo lost two teleports, my laner was a level behind. We lost the game because even though Yasuo was 0/2, he had a level advantage and took all the top towers and inhib. So should the jungler help shove in lane if the enemy lane has tp?

Normally, I would say yes. But if you see that he is tping back to soak xp and is at an advantage because of it, try to capitalize on the fact that he doesn't have tp anymore. I would either gank when your laner gets back (because by then the wave will be pushing back to your tower and it will be easy to gank) or try to play around bot because you have the opportunity to teleport down but the enemy does not.

Well, killing the enemy laner anyway gives you some XP advantage, and still gives you gold. If you are the one that nets the kill, thats about 16 CS worth of creeps in terms of gold.

As for pushing the lane? Do it. Again you got the xp advantage from the kill, still get some gold, and you force the enemy laner to use their TP so their TP is on CD which can be a big thing if the team is on the same page.

If it will cost your ally a bunch of xp and gold relative to the enemy, then you probably shouldn't push since Yasuo is really happy to spend a summoner to gain a big xp lead and once he gets to the point where he can duel your laner then the lane becomes very frightening. Although you should keep in mind whether or not the wave will push back towards Yasuo anyways (usually it will after a kill because of how the fight will affect minion aggro). If that were to happen then it really is just you gaining xp that would otherwise have been lost while also forcing Yasuo's tp.

Also, I don't think Yasuo's tp ganks are really that good so it isn't like costing him the tp cooldown is some major accomplishment. He would need a really specific set of circumstances to have minions available for the kind of mobility he wants, he should show up with his Q at 0 stacks, and he doesn't really have the durability to dive, which is usually what has to happen if your team correctly backs off when they see the tp animation start.

If you didn't, he probably would have tp back and then galio couldn't have gotten any.

Depends, did Galio have TP?

If so leave the lane, and have Galio back for items and health, then repeat gank.

if wave is pushing to you just let your laner recall and freeze it near his tower. it will deny yasuo more exp. but if the wave is pushing to yasuo just shove it all the way to tower.

If he has tp to get back to lane then you don't need to shove it

You could make it look like you're shoving to force the TP out but not fully shove it, just enough so the wave bounces back toward your laner's tower.

If they don't have TP then shove it as hard as possible (giggity).

Also I doubt the Yasuo being 1 level ahead of the Galio that had more gold/items was the issue if i'm to be honest. From the sounds of it your team didn't rotate properly if you allowed Yasuo to take your inhib so easily.

It only depends on which way the wave is pushing. If you can freeze wave on your side, do that. If it's pushing, shove it to tower so wave will bounce. If you force opponent tp, you have an advantage. Use it to make a cross map play.

Another thing to consider is that if you get the enemy TP, and can ganks him immediately after, you can negate his teleport advantage entirely. Champions like Nasus and Yasuo are good examples of who to do this to.

If you know anything about laning, you would understand why you shouldn't do this. The enemy can set up a perma-freeze on the minion wave, denying your laners XP, and gold.
