What's your opinion? Could amumu top work? I've thought it could work, especially with these ap-tank-bruisers rising in the top lane. You know, nautilus, zac, etc. I figured maybe amumu could join their ranks. What do you guys think?

Vesarixx1 votesWell I also play a lot of mi lane Sona in ranked, and Rammus is now a top laner, Amumu would probably have most of the same strenghts and weaknesses that apply to him in lane.
DU Baymax1 votesyeah that's kind of what I was thinking, he doesn't have a lot of the early tank stats other tanks like nautilus get from abilities, so he might be used against more passive top laners. But at the same time his early game damage output is actually rather high for a tank, so maybe that would make up for it. Idk, I guess I'll just have to try it at some point.
EMeta1 votesIt's not terrible. Amumu with some money is a terror in late-game teamfights. You can make up for a lot of your weak laning with those crazy powerful tp ganks bot.
But laning sucks against a lot of top laners. He's not tanky against champs until he gets some items, unlike naut or poppy who have kit defenses, so you can pretty easily get pushed out of lane.

I've always loved the utility his kit provides for late game team fights, but I am not very good at jungle and have little interest in learning it so I was looking into taking him top. Ty for the input
