don't you love people who do this? They start trolling or intentionally feeding because they're mad someone isn't playing well. It's like dude, if you want to win so badly, why are you INTENTIONALLY throwing the game? Maybe you could carry the guy who's doing badly, or maybe he would improve after laning phase ended, but now it's nearly a guaranteed loss because you are intentionally trying to throw the game. I don't understand what goes on in the minds of people who do this.

its true. it feels great to get someone punished. if you like this feeling i recommend playing as support and then taking every cs you can get. your adc will fly into a rage and sometimes some other teammates too!

i have gotten the happy message of punishment 7 times so far. i laugh so hard every time!

But all you're doing is making your odds of winning the match that much worse. I can sort of understand afk'ing because you're losing, but intentionally trolling your team and intentionally tanking the game because someone was feeding on your team? That just doesn't make sense.

If you AFK, you'll get the 20 minute leaverbuster timeout. It's pretty understandable to want to avoid it.

I don't normally agree with Toxic, but he's right. I was in a game where 2 silvers didn't want to surrender down 0-21.

There is no reason any player should ever be 0-10 at 20 mins.

Winning is fun. Losing sucks. Continuing to play when it's obvious you're going to lose really sucks, on par with 4v5 games where 1 person didn't load in.

I would agree that a 0-21 game may warrant this, but I see this kind of behavior all the time in games that are close to even. It's not always in hopeless games, for example (not exact stats but close) I remember it happening when the stats were something like 17 kills blue to 21 red, 3 dragons blue to 2 red, and 3 turrets blue to 5 red. Not exact statistics but close to that, games that are perhaps a bit in the enemy's favor but is certainly not devoid of hope.

Most of the time, yes. That player will continue to be toxic the rest of the game. However, I've been in a few games where the rest of the team including myself remained positive and didn't fuel the kid's toxic fire. If you are able to punish the enemy team for a mistake and win a team fight under your tower, there's a chance the toxic player could start trying again if they see a chance of winning. I think players like that give up because they see no chance of winning. All it takes is a few objectives to show that your team can pull it off.

You don't get a choice to surrender at 20. That's entirely your team's decision. And when one person says "we're still in this" when the score is 15-3 and no one else says anything, you're not going to get a surrender. Which is usually the case.

Yeah, seems like more and more games are becoming Hostage situations now. The score could be 3-15 (with you on the losing towers) They have 2x T1 towers, 3x T2 towers (you have 0 T1s, 1-2T2s barely clinging on), 3-0 dragons, and your team dropping like flies and throwing flames. But you still get people completely detatched from reality and drunk on thier own ego screaming "Its ok guyz, I will win this for us, I can carry" and So the surrender vote usually fails 3/2 ...and then the "pro" player ends up giving the a Penta AND an Ace... and they will still vote no next time surrender come around. I seem to be finding myself in alot more of these types of games. No one willing to admit when a match is lost NOT EVERY MATCH IS WINNABLE!

It's because this server has this whole pride bullshit going on. Much prefer the korean style of opening mid when it's over. More efficient that way.

Yeah I know, I have been told so many times "surrendering is for Weakings/pu***es/cowards />insert degrating title here<" And the funny thing is, players seem to like flip flopping between telling you to "chill, its just a game" and Yet if You decide not to cater to your teammate's pride/arrocance/narcissism, they will insult you, flame you, and call for everyone to report you "I.e: Report X, they didnt gank/participate in teamfight/take X objective" So They will flip flop between "chill, its just a game" and treating it like LCS world championship finals when it fits what they want.

But yeah, I lost count how many times I have heard them calling to report me for being -willing- to look at the match OBJECTIVELY. My autistic thought process/Checklist: What is the score? How many towers do we have/does the enemy have? How many dragons do we have/does the enemy have? How much teamwork do we have/Does the enemy have? What is the state of team morale? Are people flaming/insulting/degrading? (a good morale destroyer, makes people LESS LIKELY TO WORK TOGETHER) What are the chances of diffusing the situation and trying to get -some- teamwork going? (May improve odds) These are the mental checklists I go through before deciding whether or not to suggest /FF and yet I am immediately shot down, flamed, insulted, degraded, etc.

My motto for league is simple. "Leave your Ego At the door"

"League is like chess. And if Each piece is only concerned with how many enemy pieces THEY captured, They lose sight of the Checkmate" (Meaning if people are only concerned with "I have the most kills, so IM THE BEST" then they give up the win for the sake of thier own greed. They step on thier team to push -themselves- up

yes not every match is winnable but many matches that look very bad ARE winnable. I played a ranked match earlier today. I was zac jungle. We had a malph top, katarina mid, sivir adc and a vayne adc (long story, champ select two idiots nuff said)

Bot lane fed. Hard. Mid lane fed fairly hard. Malph was doing alright, I was doing alright. They were some 15 kills ahead of us and it looked like a guarenteed loss. But we didn't surrender, and kat ended up landing a nice ult and getting a triple kill that brought her back into the game, and vayne got back into the game via some smart plays of her own. At 20 minutes it looked like a certified loss, but by 30 minutes it was a relatively even game and momentum was still swinging in our direction. 3 people on our team wanted to surrender, but I said no, and we ended up coming back and winning it.

Now, this is ranked. I don't like to surrender in ranked, ever, because it's ranked. If it was normals I probably would have voted yes and wouldn't have lost any sleep over pondering if we would have maybe won, cause it's normals, who cares. If you're not having fun, just surrender.

I agree. Just had a match and it was 26 -5. I asked them to surrender and it was hands down 1 v 4 when voting for a surrender...

These players do this to "punish" people who arent playing to that persons desired level.

Its kind of like: a player who gets gold/diamond in ranked Makes a new account Gets to 30 and starts ranked Starts in bronze (for whatever reason) THEN Immediately expects EVERY BRONZE PLAYER to play like a gold/diamond. Why? well they is Gold/diamond on another account so they expects everyone else to play to THEIR Level. They expect bronze players to play like gold because THEY are gold. And if the player doesnt stack up to Thier expectations then they flame, insult, degrade thier team and say "Well you are playing like trash so I am gonna troll"

Again its all about thier own ego. Expecting everyone else to be like them. I mean how many of these players brag about how they are "Gold/platinum on another account" and when they get saddled with bronze, who need to maybe learn. Instead they get brow beated, degraded, insulted, and torn down by these "gold" players. Everyone is so full of themselves that they dont think they need help, and No one actually tries to offer it anyways. With most of these "elite" players, instead of suggesting "Hey that item doesnt work that well with that champ (insert optional reason why), "X" item might work better for you" is replaced with "LMAO OMG Ur build, So Fking pathetic. ur so bad. so trash ahahahaha. Uninstall league and go kill urself lolz"

Of course there are some players who refuse to acknowledge any help and respond with "OMG STFU dont tell me how to play" But its kind of a gamble. Some may just take a chance and try it to get better results. But again, because the advice is not even offered in the first place, no one even tries. So people go on thinking they are the best, they get a swelled head, and end up expecting everyone to thier level, and trashing (and trolling) anyone who doesnt meet thier expectations.

But as with most cases. This is just my own 'aspie" logic (yeah I do have aspergers, for those planning to reply with the "r u retarded' response)

I wish Riot would do a better job teaching players how the game works.

Not having perfect mechanics or 100% champ knowledge is one thing. Not understanding neutral objectives and warding is a fundamental priblem with the playerbase.

As a 30, getting matched with people under 30, even in norms, sucks too. Total waste of time at any skill tier.

I am a support, I try and ward when I can. But I have had games where I would suggest getting the dragon, and get shot down. I had a jungler who would NOT go after the dragon, but would go for kills. Every time I suggested going for dragon, nidalee (the jungler) would scream "Dragons dont matter to players who are fed" (she was referring to herself)

So basically she was saying that because -She- managed to get fed, there was no need to get the dragon...which would have helped her TEAM. All she cared about was -herself- and it was no suprise that when we lost the match, I (the support) was the first one she (and a few others ont he team) threw under the bus "We lost because support sucks" No, it wasnt the fact they got all 5 dragons uncontested, it was me. :P

But The point of the post was these people who are in Challenger class and make a new account and have to grind back up again will go into matches and EXPECT thier team to play at THIER CHALLENGER LEVEL (including people who are completely new to ranked), then get mad when people in BRONZE play at....DUN DUN DUUUUUUN...BRONZE LEVEL. Yeah they may not be the best, they may be trying to improve But spending the whole game telling them how pathetic they are for missing an ability skillshot, How completely garbage they are for not being able to last hit a minion in time. Or telling them to go die in a fire because they were unable to survive a 3v1 (which they will then report as "intentional feeding") does NOTHING to help the player improve, Just stresses them out, makes them play worse, pretty much lights the fuse on the team nuke, which is guaranteed to end in TOXIC FLAMES which destroys any possibility to work as a team and only makes the team hate each other. This is why when a match is lost, I will either say "My team lit the fuse" or in the end "My team Nuked itself" Because the team was so focused on throwing toxic flames and spouting thier "I'm superior to you" ass-hattery that the match goes down in flames, pretty much a guaranteed loss at that point.

And yet once again, Bringing this idea up is often responded with "wut r u, retarded?" Which is why I refer to it as my "Aspie logic"

This happened to me once, I fed as Azir against a Fiora mid and ended laning phase on something like 2/5 or 2/6. Xin jungle went full idiot and afk'd for parts of the match, walked down mid to feed in others, so it became a 4v5 or 4v6 sometimes. Best part is that we still won that match, the game went on so late that Azir scaled marvelously and I could easily 1v3 from a distance.

Leavebuster teaches people how to lose quickly. No need to rage.

Best thing I did was turn off /allchat and mute anyone not talking about picks and bans during selection chat.

Far more enjoyable game.

They think that if they make sure the person doing badly gets "punished" by losing the game and not getting carried, then they are cleansing their MMR range of all the bad players who often ruin games for others.

Because at a certain point the effort i have to put in to get the win is not worth it to me. at that point i just want the game to be over and ill help it along a bit with a death or two or maybe just afk farming. im confident ill get the lp back quicker then whoever is holding the team down anyways
