when champs like zed can build 
and make armor totally irrelevant? i built a good built of armor against zed and all he had was armor pen like he usally builds and totally trashed me every fight there was nothing i could do about it

hrooza dota 5 votesyou build armor for the because they reduce your armor by FLAT amount, flat is more effective against those who dont build armor just like how building 
make you hit like a rocket vs no MR targets.

Also we have broken items like phantom dancer, deaths dance, steraks, zhonyas that just completely save you regardless of you behind/bad you are.

Items with lethality on them have other stats and abilities.
The Chillin2 votesuse that extra 2600 to fit a ruby crystal in there, that blocks 180 damage from the 55AD from lethality items feeding into ability and auto ratios. and after you spend that 700 gold total on cloth and a ruby crystal, use the other 2200 to build something nice.
Jamaree3 votesAt the point where the Zed is THAT fed, no amount of armor is going to save you. Armor is meant to help you stay ahead of the curve, it wouldn't protect you from someone 25/8, nor do I think it should personally.

ZephyrDrake1 votesso 2 armor items vs someone literally building everything he can to deal with armor and you want you are complaining about it? you didn't even start building armor until halfway through the game and the Zed was more than likely already quite fed at that point. You literally finished your 2nd armor item last. At that point it is kinda late for you to be building armor
