I've literally been running this sort of build for years now over in Dominion-land. It works great because Kog has always had obscene base damage.

Some of Kog's most successful builds of late have been running Wit's and Gage and/or Mallet.

OnHit doesn't scale the same way crit does. You're better off grabbing two or three solid offensive items and then bulking up so you can pew pew longer even if you're jumped on. Because you are going to get jumped on.
